Heat and wind push Eastridge Fire

Temperatures pushing 108 and winds gusting to 25 mph were driving the Eastridge Fire dangerously close to homes at mid-day Friday, as towering plumes of smoke rose over Piedmont Valley.

HOW DO YOU GUYS THERE DEAL WITH THE HARSH HEAT? AND THE WILD WINTERS. I ASK BECAUSE I WAS SUPPOSE TO COME TO RAPID CITY FOR VACATION, BUT AFTER I SEEN THE HEAT INDEX I SAID FORGET IT. I THINK ITS TIME FOR THE GOVERMENT TO HELP OUT TO CONTAIN THE FIRES.
