A firefighter accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl while on firehouse duty was "genuinely shocked" when detectives told him she wasn't older, Spokane police officials said.

GOD BLESS YOU! Sex at the fire station's is just the tip of the iceberg. DRUG / ALCOHOL abuse is huge. Chief Williams and other officer's simply "HIDE" report's by other firefighter's who WHISTLE BLOW this issue. Court document's filed by a 20 year firefighter in great standing resulted in this firefighter having his position threatened by the Capt. he reported. This Capt. William Donahoe is the son of a retired Fire Chief! The City of Spokane needs to address this immediately! Imagine the people we pay to keep our community safe, show up stoned or delayed from having sexual intercourse when you call 911!

I'm thinking the Liberty Lake concerned citizen doth protest too much. Could she be the same women who reported being raped in Medical Lake, only to recant her accusations later? And why hasn't that person been held accountable for making a false accusation?

What do you mean, "If this was a woman she would be terminated on the spot." Do you mean to imply that public servants who are women are treated less fairly than their male counterparts? Have you heard of a thing called affirmative action? Don't you know that their are protected classes and that it is men who don't qualify for this protection. You are way out of line. If a man has sex with a minor he gets a hefty jail sentence, and rightly so. If a woman commits the same act(Debbie LeFave) she gets off on three years of house arrest. Their are good public servants and there are some bad ones, there are good and bad teachers. If you do the crime you should do the time, but don't kid yourself and think that it is women who are on the losing end of this double standard.
