Some people do things like that. I can't understand their problem, but luckily they are few and far between. He'd better concentrate on coyotes......What about removing his testicles with a not to sharp knife at the market place one sunny Sunday morning? Wouldn't need the church bells that Sunday to get people gathering then I suppose...?

there is a leash law in the STATE of Tenn.the dog can't understand that but all the owners of dogs do.They are the ones to be held responsible for thier dogs running lose!!!some real high dollar citations might help them remember the laws and respect other people's property.

I agree about the leash law. Yes, the owners should be held accountable for their pets. I live pretty much in the country. Dogs run wild all the time, getting into the trash, messing in yards and sometimes even biting others. I don't think ANYONE should just shoot any dog just to be shooting, but people please take care of YOUR dogs.

Really I could get going about cats coming onto my yard. I hate it when I go out to start my car and paw prints all over my hood from the cat. They can scratch your paint. I know it isn't the animals fault but who's going to pay for the paint job?

Yes, I had forgotten. The US God is "property". If the dog did some harm I agree - whatever harm. But there is a difference between a have fine and a 30.06 - a fatal difference. Which - I guess -is the main point here - whatever the circumstances - and the love for protecting "property".

Yourself - it's part of owning a car to get into unforseen expenses that is not covered by an insurance policy. You have a car. Some 40,000 americans die on the roads because of the cars - every year. People have cats and dogs and children. And God has weather - bad weather and good weather - storms and snow storms and hale and and you name it. Tough luck actually to afford owning also a car...In India and Bangladesh millions live for less than one dollar a day. Do you think they worry about som scratches in car paint?(i.e. a possible reduction in secondhand value)..do you think they worry? I guess they'd just consider it "normal wear and tear". suggest you do the same - and you'll live better and longer.

Alternatively: Just blame your "pilot" - He's probably fully insured too!

I think I have the right to buy a car wheather a new one or a used one without having to have any neighbor owning cats or dogs that come onto my place and do damage.

I have to pay for that car for 5 years. I do not want scratches or any dents on it if I can help from it. I can't help what other countries do or don't do. Yes, alot of countries live very poor. I hate this . But that doesn't give anyone the right to own any animal that does damage to others property.

If you work every week to get your paycheck does the gov. have the right to say that India needs one third of your check because they are poor and they live on little as $1 a day then you should be able to live on alot less? They wouldn't worry about taking one third of your check.Would that be fair to you?

People who owns any animals should try and protect them in every way they can. I have 2 dogs. Ones a housedog and the other one is a big black lab that stays outside. I do my very best to never let her run all over the neighborhood. And if I owned a cat I sure wouldn't want it scratching any car.

so then: talk to your neighbour -the owner of the cat(s) and show him the "damage". A good neighbour would then provide the cheque for the repainting...and appologize. If not you just let your lab walk over his car for a couple of minutes and you are even.......

I'm with you on this one. My 90 pound Lad can really leave some pretty big ones.

I love animals. I have always had dogs. Carolyn just came home from the hospitol and she couldn't wait to see her little 9 pound Matise (I'm sure that isn't spelled right) and part poodle. Misty came running up to her and it was so sweet. Carolyn has a trach and she tries to get as close to it. I think Misty knows something is still not right with Carolyn.

Sorry I'm off topix again. Still as much as I love animals I don't want scratches on my hood. It will take me another 4 years to pat for my car. I have ever right to not want anything putting scratches on it.

But I still wouldn't shoot one just to be shooting. Like another poster said, go talk to the owner.

JMF i am so happy your baby came home. i did send my prayers your way as well. if you did'nt read it in another folder i've had some hard times myself. i lost my husband of over 37yrs to a heart attack. we knew he had bladder cancer and that it had gone to his hip bone but he had a massive heart attack while in the hospital. he spent another 8 days in the ICU with a trach in him. every time they tryed to reduce his sedation he came up out of that bed trying to pull out that trach. how does carolyn do it ? does'nt she want to pull it out ? anyways he had his last heart attack in his sleep while at vanderbilt and now hes gone. so yeah its been hard. but we're hanging in there. and taking care of all of his dogs is a job in it self. but its what i live for. and god help anyone crazy enough to try to shoot one of those babies.

Teresa, First of all I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. It doesn't matter how sick one is we are still not ready for them to go. Right here at the holidays to. It will be hard on you and the kids, but with God's strength you will be ok..My prays are with you and your family. thank you and everyone who prayed for Carolyn.

She was in CC for 13 days and was out of it the whole time. Then she went to Select for another 40 days. I just kept telling her that the tube was helping her so she would get to come home. she never one time tried to pull at it. I was afraid they would tie her hands down and that would have scared her. I was told that most adults try to pull it out.

She was so proud to get home. Yesterday was the first time in 61 days that she let go of her walker and started walking on her own. he still use the walker some to.

She might have to keep the trach for life. It hasn't been to bad taking care of it. Some people have said they couldn't do it. But as you and I both know any person can do whatever comes their way.

This has changed the way I look at things. I know one thing I wont be arguing with anyone on here. My opinion is just that, no more no less. I will try my best to make the most out of life and be the best I am.

again I'm sorry about your husband. I found praying really helped me. You take care and I do pray that you will get through the holiday's ok. I know you are a very strong lady and that will get you through.
