County schools given OK to raise taxes beyond prior caps

what do they think we are going to live on, Why do the schools need a principal for grade,middle and high school and assistant for each of them? I do not mind paying a school tax but I believe when you hit the golden age of 70 you should not have to pay. The ones that do not own properity send their kids to school and what tax do they have to pay. Because alot of the retired people worked hard to have a home we have to pay for the ones that don't. don't make sense to me if I have to pay a quarter of the tax should be enough
