Open those pocketbooks up Erie taxpayers. More dependency, more democrat voters, and more crime. Ain't it sweet.

and then who serves a total of 650 refugees?
//////////
"It's our largest population, and some of them have been in refugee camps in Nepal for 17 to 20 years," Jackson said.
When a family arrives in Erie, a case manager, sometimes with a translator, meets the newcomers at Erie International Airport and makes sure they have an apartment and a hot meal, and provides the family with a safety orientation.
Over time, the institute helps find jobs for the adults and schools for the children.
"A case manager makes sure they receive health care and gets to their medical appointments," Jackson said.

I was once a refugee, 14 years ago. I don't know how thing are now but back then we received help for about three months and then you are on your own.

I went to school, and then college all while working, at first low paying jobs in manufacturing 3rd shift, the ones that really did not require knowledge of english language. I pay the same taxes just like everyone else. I also had to pay back my airplane ticket to get here, If you don't it ends up on your credit report.

Right now I'm married, own a house and a pretty good job in the city.

Thank you USA.

Erie is populated with the descendants of refugees. Polacks, DPs, starving Irish, Germans whose villages paid their fare to 'get lost' over here, etcetc.

That wouldn't fit the dummycrat agenda. Face it most of these refugees are going to end up on food stamps and government assistance.
