Was he dealing too ?
and Who prescribed all those drugs ?

The Oscar-winning actor, 46, was discovered dead in a New York City apartment just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, with a syringe still in his arm, authorities said. Law enforcement officials told NBC News that authorities at the scene found 49 full bags of heroin, 23 empty bags of heroin, four bags of white powder believed to be cocaine, as well as various prescription drugs.

Multiple law enforcement sources told NBC News that authorities found six bottles of prescription drugs including the blood pressure medication clonidine hydrochloride; the addiction treatment drug buprenorphine; the attention-deficit disorder treatment drug vyvanse; the anti-anxiety drug hydroxyzine; and the muscle relaxer methocarbamol.

And it's the minority races dealing the shiznick. Young people having babies are driving the need for boyfriends to do the hustle. Girlfriends and mothers look the other way to finance their govt. aid. And govt. thinks the drug issues can be solved by arresting their way out. The WAR on Drugs is a huge failure.

Which neighborhood in Fairport did Philip Seymour Hoffman grow up in?

I grew up in Fairport, yet moved away in 1978, at age 16. In Fairport, I skated on the canal (and at Potter Park), played little league baseball across from Fairview Lanes, and delivered the D&C at dawn.

If you know which elementary school and junior high Mr. Hoffman went to, or in which which neighborhood he was raised, I would be grateful for your post. Thanks.

Face it, Hoffman was nothing more than a two bit junkie, druggie and hope to die dope fiend who got his wish.
Very selfish using drugs when you have three children to raise who no longer have their father.
What makes him any different from the other junkies who overdosed and died before him?

In the article, it says the police are doing more extensive tests of the heroin ... I can just picture a bunch of cops sitting in a circle in the evidence room, with needles in their arms going; "Man, this is some good smack!!"

Once a junkie, always a junkie.
He wanted to die and got his wish.
His kids will live with the stigma of their father being a junkie for the rest of their lives. Everyone he was associated with knew he was a dope fiend but said nothing for fear of losing their meal ticket.
They enabled him instead of helping him.

I agree with you, they do it all of the time.
They look at everything from a racial standpoint, it's all they have and that's not saying much.

Hoffman's dope dealers were white.
Shatters the myth of who drug dealers are and the location where drugs are sold.
His dealers who were busted, operated in lower Manhattan where that type of activity isn't supposed to take place.
So much for stereotypes.
