The first observation of Father’s Day was in Fairmont, WV in 1908, would you like to laugh and snicker and make up some lies about how you would believe, that had no effect on WV as we celebrate Father’s Day each year? It wasn’t until 1972 the Father’s Day was made a permanent national holiday, however WV had been celebrating years earlier, because of Fairmont, WV!

Grafton WV was the founding place for Mother’s Day recognized in 1914, would you like to say that’s a lie as well? Based only on how “small” the town of Grafton, WV may be.

Fairmont WV at the Country Club Bakery was the birth place for the "Pepperoni Roll" as we in WV know it to be! Not the birth place for "salsiccia napoletana piccante baked in bread" You will not find any business selling, Country Club Bakery style, pepperoni rolls outside of WV. This is because, in states outside of WV, it is illegal to bake meats inside of completely enclosed bread. For you to understand, this means bread that has no aeration to get to the baked meat!

Pasta originated in China approximately 40 centuries ago, while pizza has been documented to be from ancient Greece. Does that make either of them less Italian when smothered in marinara sauce?

So before trying to down play a town that put both Morgantown and Clarksburg to SHAME when the pepperoni roll was founded in 1927, mind you! Fairmont was also the first city in WV to have a Mall in 1969! So we may not be as popping as we were back in Fairmont’s heyday. We still have a HUGE staple for what WV has, you can accept that or not, doesn't make it any less true!

I think it's such a bu11shit statement when I read or hear someone claim the pepperoni roll was invented in Fairmont, WV. Are you telling me that pepperoni...which was invented in southern Italy ages ago...was never slapped into a piece of freakin' bread and baked??? Give me a break! I have Italian friends that live all over the United States and abroad. Each time I mention Fairmont's claim, I'm met with a roar of laughter.
salsiccia napoletana piccante
My father is from Italy & he never had these untill he came here !!
