Between 2000 and 2009, there were 2,807 suicides among West Virginians.
Of those suicides, 320 were committed by 15- to 24-year-olds.

Within the span of 10 years, more than 2,800 individuals in this state took their own lives.
Thatís 2,807 people who were sons and daughters, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers. They were aunts and uncles. They were friends and neighbors, colleagues and fellow church members.
And at some point, they thought death was the only answer.
