What has happened to Fairmont?

I have watched the city change drastically over the last 5-7 years.. NOT in a good way either. The people used to be nice, Now most are just rude, lazy, welfare rats.

Fairmont seems to have become the place to move if you want a free house built for you and the tax dollars pay for it.
Did they build the gateway connector so everyone could leave or so all the undesirables would be able to get in?

The weird thing is that Fairmont would have been my choice to live in a few years ago over Clarksburg and Bridgeport, but now even they sleep with one eye on Fairmont.

Where are the new sub divisions?(other than the habitat houses up on Chicago and Harlem street)

Im not trying to be mean But you have alot going over there and I would hate see it go completely to the dogs.

[Fairmont going downhill]

although we loved Fairmont,we left fairmont in 1982 for job opportunities in Morgantown. After retiring from good paying jobs, we could hardly wait to return to our hometown. Unfortunately, Fairmont is much worse now then it was 20 years ago.I am afraid it will continue going downhill and become another Grafton. Heck, even Grafton has a Walgreens. Why not use the Speedway for building another Walmart or big box store. Fairmont is nothing but one eyesore, and soon no one will want to live here. It gets old going to Clarksburg or Morgantown fot almost everything you need to survive.
