Congrats to Mayor Kant! I have watched the city council berte him in meetings and I learned to respect Kant for his statesmanship. I not only voted FOR Kant, I also wanted to vote OUT those council people who wished they could be lkike Kant but lacked the guts to do what Kant could.
Attention new city council: We do not care that you worked up north for 30 years and ran businesses! We KNOW how bad it is messed up there in the North! We are not impressed by this. We are dissapointed on how you messed up the North! Leave your ways up there or you will be voted out in 4 years!

Maybe you should head up North to show them what they are doing wrong instead of speaking for everyone in town. Not everyone in Fairhope shares your opinion since a third of the votes were for Mixon.

Some people are still fighting the Civil War and hate anything Northern--including politicians.

Congratulations to Mayor Kant and Councilmn Ford - the majority of voters came to their senses and kept you and got rid of the band of renegades. The people have spoken and spoken loud. Nobody gives a damn about how any votes anybody else got - the one that got the majority are in charge now and have a mandate to follow Kant and Ford. May the next 4 years be productive and the best interest of Fairhope be at the forefront of the agenda not the private agenda of the few that are out and no longer in charge. Mr soon to be S-POLICE chief hope you kept your house in Miami your going to need it. In memory of Chief Bud, mayor get rid of this pain in the ass chief NOW

People do give a dam how local government works though and the council has no mandate to follow Kant. They still will vote on issues and Ford only occupies one of those seats. Look at how well the last council worked with Kant. Hopefully he will be able to take one more serious issues than tattoo parlors. Talk about a private agenda; Kant taking up a ton of city time and money with his personal vendetta against Press. He's lucky Press hasn't sued him for defamation of character. You don't hear Press in the media making comments about Kant; but Kant stirs up trouble any chance he gets at Press's expense. I doubt any of this is productive and in the best interest of Fairhope.
