Daphne woman convicted of embezzling money for family needs sentenced

A federal judge in Mobile last week sentenced a woman who stole from her former employer to 2 months in prison, followed by 4 months of home confinement.

She gets only two years!!! She should be put out on one of the shrimp boats in Louisiana, coated with rotten fish and left for the disgusting seagulls. Now that's punishment. Oooh! Rah!!!!

Even worse--I once worked with a guy whose wife was a teller in a bank. She embesseled several thousand dollars and after a period of time was discovered. Because she came from a Good Old Boy family in town, she got a slap on the hand and had to pay back the money. She was fired from the bank and then got a job at the local Chamber of Commerce. Little towns look out for their own--even when they are criminals, as long as they have a good family name.
