There is still an investigation, watch what you say, he was NOT a dope head. Have some respect for his family who is hurting, do not assume anything until this is actually a closed case and ALL of the facts have been given. RIP JSI

The investigators say he fired first. But let me guess, he was a good boy, and was just turning his life around.
Happy day

Who are you trying to fool? You also have friends and family that are addicted to drugs. Everyone does. You might not know that yet but it's a coming.

I'd have to see the tape before I would jump to conclusions. I've heard this store has been robbed repeatedly in the past few months and it could be a case of an angry store owner who was overly jumpy and upset about past robberies. Unless you have personally viewed the tapes then you really dont know either and you're just being an insensitive ass

The police reviewed it, the prosecutor reviewed it, the grand jury reviewed it. That is enough eyes for me. The store owner has also said he would make them available once the police returned them. I wouldn't say I'm insensitive, maybe just desensitized.

One less dope head? Wow and let me guess Mr. thats enough eyes for me? You have never done a drud in your life right? Tabbaco is a drug, caffine and even yes alchol. Dont judge someone for their life choices before digging in your own dirt. Hey since your a genius tell me how and what do we do to help them turn their life around? The store owner did what he had to do to protect his family. He is lucky and a great man for doing so. I have been in his store hes a nice man. But even he wouldnt say one dope fiend down. Your a moron not desensitized. Im sure hes happy his family is safe. But hes not a disrespectful prick like you seem to be. Even the deceased drug addicts have mothers. And if the sheriff could do some work their wouldnt be all the drug addicts have you seen the nieghborhood the county is in. Surrounded with drugs and hookers not even a block away.

I have never done an illegal drug. And I don't see morons robbing people to get their next hit of caffeine. As far as stopping them, put them in jail. Fixing their lives is their problem. I have enough problems of my own. The crime in the city is the responsibility of the city police. You are pointing your finger at the wrong person, again it seems.

The store had not been robbed before. The wife was there and a child. The shop owner did what anyone would do. The guy should have known better.
I will never understand why people rob and steal from others. That is a total waste of life.

You should really get a life and get off of the topix. It's one thing to judge people that you dont even know but to speak ill of a dead boy that you know nothing about is, in fact, rude and insensitive. Perhaps he had problems that you know nothing about. If you have never experienced his struggle then you have no right to judge him. Nothing is Black or White. The real story lies somewhere in the GRAY area. Obviously robbing people is not cool but everyone who knew Mr Irvin PERSONALLY will tell you that he was a very kind and sweet boy. I dont know the story but I know that there had to be a reason that he was desperate enough to attempt to take money from someone at gun point. Im not excusing it, only saying that Im sure you know and love someone with problems and Im sure that you wouldnt appreciate these ridiculous and uninformed comments if it were your loved one who had passed. Have a little compassion for the living who are still suffering from this unexpected loss of life. He has a mother and a daughter who have done NOTHING wrong and they have the right to grieve without having to come across your ignorant and blatantly inhuman comments.

A lot of people like his Mother, his daughter and the rest of his friends and family. This is a sad story. No money was taken just a life. I seriously seriously doubt he fired first. This was very uncharacteristic of Jeremy. I knew him personally and I am still in complete shock that he tried to rob a store and I know he never intended to hurt anyone. Obviously hes the one who got the worst end of the deal so let him rest in peace and lets just hope that you never have to experience the kind of pain that his family is going through at this time
