I just found this site and have enjoyed reading the posts. Having grown up in Crossville, I thought I might share some memories. Anyone remember Sisco's leisure time billiards? Lots of youthful adventures started and ended there. Did anyone cruise the "state" Cattoosa Willidlife Mgt area? How about Agee's Dock in Holiday Hills? State Park Pool? Wow, I miss Crossville now.

I too remember Sisco's Leisure Time Billiards. Unfortunately my memories of that place suck. That place was the second reason for my divorce. I did like Shirley though and I miss seeing many of my "ole" friends from there. I also miss the Top Of The Hill, anybody remember that one?

Unfortunately i lived down in New Orleans LA through most of the 90's.Having graduated from CCHS in 1990 i have to say that most of my "memories" are from the 80's.

There was Funland and we used to swim in the lake over at the park before they opened the pool.Cruised down main street on Friday and Saturday nights when i wasn't working over at Kroger.

I notice now that main street is a virtual ghost town on those nights. It might have something to do with gas prices or new laws,or they might go to the before mentioned Catoosa area?I was paying $0.85 per gallon in 1988-1990.

Yeah, there's no such thing as cruising around here anymore on weekends. Not really gas prices, but the city police constantly hounding everyone ran everyone out of town I guess. Oh Well.

Yeah I use to cruise Crossville every weekend, it was a good nite when traffic was backed past the ford dealer on the north side and over water tank hill on the south side of town on any given friday and saturday night! I dont know why the police was so ruff on kids because im sure they made money on the tickets and drunks they pulled over those nights? not to mention the gas teen agers bought and fast food etc they spent their money on as well. I guess they dont realize they were tax payers too?

Apologies for hi-jacking the thread, but I lived in N.O. most of the 90's as well. Where exactly did you live?

I lived for a short time at Octavia and Magazine, uptown.I lived for another short time a couple of blocks away at Jefferson and Tchoupitoulas.I actually lived in Kenner for 5 years out by the airport after my short stint uptown, but it was all New Orleans to me.

Exactly. I mostly grew up in LaPlace and Reserve. How old are you? I have a 90's reference that only you may recognize. That is, if you listened to hip hop.

I'm 37,never listened to much hip hop.I was listening to mostly grunge or modern rock at that time.Didn't really "discover" modern progressive rock until about 9 years ago.

Funny stuff...I went to Sisco's pretty often...cruised through town, and also swam at the State Park. I lived less than a mile from Agee's Dock in Holiday Hills, and we used to go there late at nite and try to scare people. Good times and good memories! Thanks!

Crossville is truly dull when cruising in circles on Main is the fun thing to do. Too bad the lowlives have to find something else to do nowadays.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
