I usually get the sheits for 2 days after eating at a local Mexican restaurant. Wish Vacaville had more Filipino places. Boiled fish heads & rice is the best!

According to Google, am I correct to believe the "restaurant" is the little clown shack next to the railroad tracks at the confluence of Sonoma and Couch?

There was a time, long ago about close to 20 years, when I first came to Vallejo, that I could not believe that a city the size of Vallejo was devoid of a restaurant (plenty of joints) that did not make one leave with the urge to not spare the horses on the way home! Know what I am saying?

I was determined to try as many holes in the wall as I could muster and that little "Orange Julius" type round house was one of them.
To its credit, it was not bad at all, the patrons were, but the food was actually pretty good.

So being on the adventuress side one evening, the special offerings included Menudo, which my son and I love, but my husband absolutely does detest since I explained what it is made with and from. I bought a big container of it to enjoy at home.
It was the most vile tasting stuff I ever had......
Obviously they used the feet of the oldest boar that they could find, it piggied dreadfully and thereby ruining an otherwise excellent dish, Too bad!

I do not believe it was Baldo's though because it closed shortly after my Menudo encounter.(Health Department???)

So how long was Baldo's at this location, if it ever was?

Yes, they do. But these are simple push carts. The meat is kept warm with a Sterno canister. You'll find these carts as close as Tijuana. On a typical cart, you might find meat from a recent kill at the Plaza de Toros (bull ring), goat, hog, dog, cat or whatever road kill was found that day. The tortillas are always hand made and fresh as is the salsa and other condiments. Just keep an open mind. The street food in Mexico is terrific.

I feel safer with the food carts in Mexico than in Manhattan.
