Well triple ex, that is really not the issue.

What is the issue is that despite having made the local authorities
aware that a residence in the neighborhood seems to be used for purposes other than housing humans, they have been ignored or so it seems, but......

A few items mentioned by the poster are pointing to illegal activity that under the right circumstances could endanger the whole neighborhood. That is the point of concern.

It is of interest that a "group of Asians", as quoted by the poster, has allegedly purchased the residence without ever moving anyone into it. That in itself would not be alarming as many Asian families are purchasing homes for family members not yet living in the US.

But having a handyman coming and going on a regular rotational basis and lights burning without being turned on and off is indeed odd. After the pick up is completed, a skunky smell permeates the neighborhood?(sure they are not selling the skunky fur for high end sweater collars sold at Neiman's? just kidding!

To the previous poster:
Have you been in touch with the Crime Prevention Unit of the VPD?
Can you provide a schedule with the home visits by the handyman, a description of the vehicle used along with the license plate, and if this particular vehicle has been seen at other locations, can you give those addresses also?
Note the delivery van/panel truck's license # and schedule. Describe the person driving it and how many are with him/her.

The more detail you are able to provide the more cooperation you may receive. It is very possible these people are already under surveillance as it seems they are running a pretty brisk business venture that probably has attracted some interest!

From personal experience, it would be helpful to have the neighbors get together and from of all of them (who wish to go on record) select one individual who will be the contact person with the PD and who will have all the statements and observations from those neighbors documented and signed.

It will not be easy. Many will talk but are not willing to walk with you.

Good Luck to you and your neighbors.

Daily Horoscope for May 26

Leo

Try not to take on too much work today, otherwise you'll make a rod for your own back and not be able to finish everything you started. Maybe you're being too ambitious about what you can do in a short space of time, or perhaps you have something important to prove. If you do run out of time, try not to cut corners because that will lead to more work in the end. It is better to leave something unfinished and tackle it again tomorrow than to do it in a tearing hurry and then realize that you haven't done it properly.
