Dennis Steele is not all that radical people! Take the time to look a little closer. I am voting for Dennis because he has the courage to break us free and keep Vermont run by Vermonters...not by the Empire that will collapse.

Dems and Repubs are the biggest problem in this country. Free Vermont is the goal and right now Dennis is the man to do it. The Revolution won't be televised.

Would the seceshers please stop calling this a poll?

They've engaged in survey packing here and made the results, if you can imagine that it'd be possible, less worthwhile than that lame Seven Days survey.
I can't in good conscience vote for the authoritarian unpersonable "Doobs" and Shumlin appears just well...slimy.Neither have new ideas and Dennis does.Call it a throw away vote if you like but I am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils from the major parties.
I feel the same way about the lesser of 2 evils. My worry is that with the races (all races) appearing so close that split votes will only put the worst of the 2 evils in office. Yesterday I thought I was clear on who I would vote for in the Governor's race. Now I think I will go back and look at Dennis Steele. Do you all here who support him feel he has enough experience to survive the sharks at the capital?

You guys can't be serious. Vote for Shumlin? Endorsed by the only communist in the Senate? Unions that have killed jobs and driven GM into insolvency? The Teachers Union? How is the education system doing for you? VT has one of the worst business climates in the country and if you vote for him its not going to get any better. I would have hoped that VT had learned its lesson by letting the Dems run it into the ground with the climate wackos and unions calling the shots but I guess not. Good luck on food stamps, guys.

Not pushing the single payer agenda for health care, but Shumlin is advocating. I like Dubie's position better.

Amen Nancy St.Onge
with the polls as close as they are today a vote for Dennis Steele IS a vote for Shumlin.

Dubie loses his composure over the most insignificant issues. In the debates that silly growing nose brought forth a reaction I haven't seen since grade school and he never fully answers questions on the important issues. His achievements while serving on a school board hardly relate to the issues affecting the middle class and poor of Vermont.

Shumlin wants all of us to carry cards with all of our health information in-bedded on it. How scary is that? What next a chip in our wrist?

I want a Governor that stands up for the people. I have had enough of the last 8 years and do not want more of Douglas which is what Dubie stands for.

"BURLINGTONIAN" Living in Democrat heaven of Burlington might I ask are you kidding? After Obama promised "Within 16 months of being elected I will have all the Combat troops out of war" that means it's now his war. The point I'am making if we as Vermonters Vote for Democrats we are saying we support Obama & the war. So let us be honest the war is good and right because it's Obama war. Just look at General Petraeus went from liar & war criminal to military genius. All he needed was for Obama to give him a promotion.

There are factions & degrees of moderation w/in ea party.

Since I'm independent, I vote for who will focus on the most crucial issues & the majority of the residents, or against those I consider to be a detriment to the majority.

McCain w/or w/o Palin was never an option, he has a Jekyll/Hyde personality. Palin is out of the question she makes Bush look professorial & is a completely clueless clod. Gidget would have been a banana peel away from president. Sounds like a wacky Disney movie.

I voted Obama, he ran as center-left moderate, he was & is a complete liar & a snake who is busying himself w/destroying our nation.

He broke all or 99% of his promises which I consider a huge deal.

He is of the progressive ilk, not all progressives the same either, which errantly believes in social engineering. It is the height of arrogance & is not up to anyone to attempt this. It is merely a destruction & marginalization of a sector of the population for the betterment of those who wish to live on the backs of others. It represents humanity @ its lowest level.

I saw the writing on the wall w/his cabinet appointments. Since we are known by the company we keep, he would have to be a marxist.

He has done immeasurable damage, as much or more than Bush regime.

Dubie chose early in campaign to link himself to Bush, making his presence visible as well as identifying what kind of conservative he is.

I also see progressivism inhumane counterpart in the rightwing. The so-called 'conservatism' of Douglas & Dubie is the religion of the rich. Nothing wrong w/the rich but if on the backs of others not what I would make my priority, protecting & prospering unmitigated greed under the guise of 'promoting business' & 'smaller gov't'. I support both but recognize their brand merely favors the wealthy to the detriment of everyone else.

This is an extreme Ayn Rand form of conservatism which found its niche in the rightwing, as moderate democratic or conservative principles would preclude a class of ppl mowing down everyone that gets in its way.

Douglas wanted to dump $40 million in general fund liabilities onto property taxes raising property taxes of all, remove income sensitivity, economically burdened homeowners would take a big hit from both of these measures. This includes small business, middle class w/families, working poor & elderly.

Dubie will attempt all of this which is why I'm voting straight democratic ticket in VT as well as for congressional delegation-they are protecting *all* VTers.

Douglas or Dubie will protect & favor cutting taxes for only the 1400 wealthiest residents on the backs of the entire state & targeting the most vulnerable which was no gaffe, but freudian slip.

He also favors what looks to be like a minimum of $30 million & what could be $50 million in cuts. Difficult to tell from the source I am looking at b/c it is unclear if some of the cuts were duplicated when spelled out where thay would be.

All of the cuts would target middle class, working poor, elderly & those needing services.

I do favor making changes however this is a bare bones budget which is irresponsible, drastic & does not include the same drastic measures for the wealthy.
