Well as Willie Sutton said, you have to go where the money is and if it's inside the church go for it. The vikings used to raid churches all the time because the clergy sucked up a lot of gold and kept it hidden in the hope that Satan would protect them and the gold. The vikings, vandals, and good old Hungs proved the stupidity of such nonsense.

While I certainly don't condone what they did...I do find it ironic, not to mention, very interesting, considering the fact that the non-religious among us know very well where a large chunk of the "donations" go. Some of the more well-heeled "shepherds" have "flocks" that throw money at them in such large amounts, that they're able to live quite a lifestyle...private jets, limousines, mansions, etc. The thief steals from the thief....interesting.

Kim the money they took goes to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. It does not go to the Church. The money is used to buy food for the poor.

I think the "shepherds" you are talking about are the tele-evangelists. Local churches do not provide private jets, limousines, mansions, etc., for their pastors. They provide much needed aid for the folks in their neighborhoods. The thief didn't steal from the thief, he stole from the poor.
