The FBI is investigating several paving scams on homeowners across the region. Agents said they believe the people conducting the scams have been traveling across the country targeting elderly people.

Yes, we had a couple of scammers turn up to pressure clean the property but I asked for some ID and one produced a driving license but it was so crude it was obviously a very poorly made copy of the real thing. I rang the police who came but they had disappeared by the time they arrived. It is surprising how many people allow strangers on their property just on production of a business card.
