I worked for the Bombardier business aircraft division for 10 years as an engineering specialist. A great company with a great product that makes a lot of effort to promote French in it's workforce, as it should. However since the departure of Paul Tellier-one of the CEO's before the last one-Guy Hachey, there has been added layer upon layer of middle management. Resulting in a ballooning burden of bilingual methods technicians. In my opinion way too many office people that are not related to direct production, or engineering. I have worked as a contract engineer for most of my working life,(I am 58 years old) and never seen so many methods people working at a giant make-work project such as that at Bombardier Montreal.
The latest round of layoffs are indeed justified.
