Came recommended from friend and used for long distance moved. Grossly misestimated weight despite in-home estimate and charged over $1200.00 more than agreed amount for delivery. Performed a two truck move after one truck move was agreed upon. Showed up at destination later than promised. Damaged 5 antique furniture items and lost several items. Can't count number of boxes that were smashed and damaged. Despite having full replacement value insurance didn't pay for value of items damaged or pay for furniture repair to full value of estimate. Claimed no responsibility for lost items despite fact they later found some. Would not recommend.

They lost 2 beautiful antique pieces and we had to hunt the rest of our stuff down. They had it stored all over the warehouse. They broke a mirror and refused to give us insurance info. I don't think they have insurance. I would never trust them.

Deborah Gore Dean is a former United States federal employee, in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development during the Ronald Reagan presidency, she is also a distant relative of the famous Senator Albert Gore Sr. and second cousin once removed of former Vice President Albert Gore Jr.. She is most famous for her involvement in a fraud scandal at the Department of Housing and Urban Development involving the Moderate rehabilitation Program. A jury convicted Deborah Gore Dean of three counts of conspiracy to defraud the federal government, one count of having accepted an illegal gratuity, four counts of perjury, and four counts of engaging in a scheme to conceal material facts. The United States court of Appeals eventually threw out the bulk of the charges. The District Court had sentenced Dean to two concurrent terms of twenty-one months' confinement on the first two conspiracy counts and fined Dean $2,500 on each of those counts. On each of the remaining counts, the court sentenced Dean to twenty-one months' confinement, to run concurrently with each other and with the sentences imposed under the first two conspiracy counts.[2

want to say that I recently used Quality Services Moving for a rather large move with many priceless antiques. I find the above reviews to be rubbish. except for "THE TRUTH" that just shows who this Gor Dean person really is. I was referred to Quality Services Moving by a very dear friend who also used them.( great experience) I found them under no other name. I wasn't sure about their warehouse so I physically went to their facility and checked it out myself.( never telling anyone I was coming) I explained I was thinking of using their firm and wanted to check out where my goods would be stroed. They graciously showed me aorund their whole facilty. Their warehouse was no only clean it was very organzied. The whole staff was professional and answered all my questions. I can see now why my move was executed so efficiently.
A minor damaged occured but they had repaired with in day or so and I was invited back to their firm to see it myself. I was highly impressed how quickly they addressed the damaged piece and then fixed it. It looked great So perhaps those other claims are just bitter people. I will continue to refer Quality Services Moving.

Wow! Is this how to treat customers who are not happy with you? I am soooo turned off. Being a single mother and in the military- I want no problems. What does Deborah Dean's time in Government have to do with your breaking things from her store?

Their self insured because the crews get charged for the damages. They take it out of our checks with no notice, nor proof of the damages. Ur lucky if u get paid for all the hours u work and u may work one week and not get paid for 3 or 4 weeks for the job. The Owner is very disrespectful to his employees..Ranting and Raving cussing employees very demeaning. I would never recommend anyone working there..

My husband and I used these people to move in 2005 and ended up taking them to court (won the judgement, which they not paid to this date).

1. they charged several hundred more than the quote price
2. one of the movers was stinkin' drunk
3. they cracked the mirror in an LCD TV they moved
4. lost a couple of pictures and some other boxes of kitchen ware (nothing major)

Talked to the owner, Andy Graves right away, who said he'd make it right and to send the invoice when we got it repaired. After many calls, they would not pay. Got a lawyer to call them and when asked, the person on the phone said he name was 'Mickey Mouse'.

We took them to small claims court on the advice of the lawyer and won the judgement against them (judge said good luck collecting, and he was not kidding), Instead of paying, they changed the name of their company from Quality Services Inc or something to Quality Services Moving.

Now they're trying to bad mouth my business by posting bogus bad reviews on my website. My advice, DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

I completely agree with Sheanon C’s statement about Low Quality moving. I had these people move me in May of 2011, what a rip off! I was quoted that the move would take 7 hours and a monetary estimate for that time, well turns out that the 4 men crew and a truck took 12 hours to move me! I moved from a two-bedroom townhouse in Woodbridge to Alexandria, Va. Approximately 21-22 miles.

How is this possible? From the time they arrived at my house and yes, someone called me to say they were running late, but when they arrived, I never saw all four men working at one time until their supervisor/owner showed up as there were a number of problems with this move. They broke my antique dining room table during the move, seems one of the young and inexperienced movers decided to slide it across the sidewalk during the move.
I was charged more than I was quoted and it took them five to six extra hours to complete this move. They even charged me to disassemble and reassemble something that the inventory sales representative told me there would be no problem with moving this item and that the fee they quoted to me included moving this item and if they had to disassemble, the fee quoted would cover this as well.
Unfortunately, I had already reserved a space for my furniture at their storage facility and I did not move it for a year as it was being held hostage until I paid the additional amount they claimed I owed. Luckily, I was looking at my bank account last week and saw that they had submitted this additional amount through my banking account that they claim I owed without my permission or authorization. This is a whole year later that they submitted this amount! I think this is illegal. When I contacted them to ask them to reverse this charge, I was told they could not do this as I owed it and it appears it did not matter that I did not authorize this transaction. The only reason they had my account number was so they could debit the monthly storage fee. I moved my furniture from their storage unit immediately and was not surprised when they could not find my dining room table legs and found out they had broken my glass tabletop.

In addition, they also charged me a $95 processing fee while I waited almost 45 minutes for them to give me my furniture and I had sent one of their clerks a confirming email that I would be there on a certain date to pick up my furniture and it was not ready when I arrived and the other clerks had no idea I was coming to pick it up as no one had informed them of the furniture pick up.

This was the worse move of my life. My father was in the military and so was I. I have moved and had moving companies to move me all my life. This by far was the worse move of my life, I refer to it as the nightmare move. I will never use this company for anything ever again and recommend that anyone interested in using this company check out the review ratings and the Better Business Bureau before making a final decision to use this company

Very disappointed with their false representation of estimate. When issue was raised it was near impossible to get a reply. Their responsibility with damages was limited to 60 cents per pound. I packed and moved over 150 boxes myself to save money, yet the final moving bill was more than the original estimate. Their claims manager saw nothing wrong with this.

Before signing up with their service, check with Better Business Bureau to find out why they are on the top of the list when it comes to complaints received.

They were TERRIBLE. The men moving our furniture in were picked up at a local truck stop and looked like meth addicts. I immediately got their names and addresses and let them know I was with law enforcement and kept an eye on them the entire time.
A bed was delivered with one foot completely broken off of the bed....that was in's now November and I can't get the company to answer my emails or calls.
I would recommend NO one EVER use them. They were not professional or in any way qualified to use the name 'quality' in their business.

Quality Services Moving company will treat you well right up until the point that you pay. After that good luck getting them to help you.
I have just completed the claims process for my recent move and it was long and disappointing. Having relocated 7 previous times with the military and commercial companies, I am no stranger to movers. Quality Services is the worst I've used. I went with them because they were the cheapest bidder (it showed).
So you don't think I'm a crackpot or on some personal vendetta, here are some specific issues that bothered me:
- I paid ~$700 for full replacement value insurance and turned in what I believed to be more than $700 worth of damages (I base this on my experience with previous moves). I was compensated $285.87 and my questions about valuation were never answered.
- Many of the items that were broken were packed with extreme negligence (antique crystal bowls stacked on top of each other with no paper or padding between them, glass framed item put in a box with cast iron skillets--no padding between...etc.)
- On the receiving end of the move we found too many items to count that either had multiple sticker (4, 5, or 6 stickers) or were missing stickers altogether. I could not decide why the movers did that. It didn't seem honest / accurate.
- In the final bill (at delivery), I was overcharged by $500 (initial deposit was not credited). I noticed the error several days later and contacted the company for a refund. Although I was charged immediately over the phone at the time of service, the refund process took over a week (this was after I sent them copies of all my receipts).
- The company looked for any way out on paying claims. One of my broken items (a toilet bowl scrubber, which was crushed because it was thrown in a wardrobe box full of shovels) was denied because it wasn't listed on the inventory sheet (I wouldn't have listed it either if I had packed it that way).
Based on all the other perfect reviews here at Yelp for Quality Services Moving, I have a hard time figuring out how my experience could be so different. Maybe they used to be better (seems like most of the positive reviews are older).
Anyway, that's my experience. Your mileage may vary.

UPDATE: After expressing my frustration to Quality Services Moving, they refunded my insurance premium as I requested. Kudos to Amanda Card (Marketing Director) for being proactive and making this happen.

Quality Service is, without a doubt, the worst company I have ever worked for. The owners Ed & Andy Graves are the biggest crooks, unethical, dishonest, lying pieces of shit I have ever met. Kevin, Mike, & Drew, the warehouse managers are Ed & Andy's bitch boys & cary out the dirty work with employees. I hope Quality Service goes out of business soon. I don't see how they have stayed in business This long. The way they treat their employees is atrocious. They are liars & thrives. Karma is a bitch QSM.

WOW!! No wonder QSM is the number one rated independent mover in the world. Moved from Alexandria Virginia to Austin Texas on a Tuesday and had to leave that Tuesday afternoon to drive to Austin to close on a home Thursday morning! Truck issues slowed the move to a crawl and I was panicking about leaving on time. Led by Joe Madison, OUR HERO, Jorge, and Horacio packed our valuable art collection and our remaining household goods without our being present, so we could get on the road. I know… amazing! QSM also ensured our household goods arrived in Austin a week earlier than expected. Andy Graves, thanks so much for your help and also thanks to Ben Knowlton for all the worrisome calls. QSM rocks!
