Charles Mix sheriff says homicides spurred by 'rage thing'

"- Alcohol and drugs are to blame for much of the violent crime in Charles Mix County , according to Sheriff Ray Westendorf, but he doesn't believe substance abuse is driving up the county's homicide rate.

In my opinioon Lake Nades has gone down the tubes since the Phesant Tap closed and the Idle HBour was torn down. What happened to thos places? Absolutely awful. I was stationed there in the 60s ,used to go nto the Tap for a cold ber and enjpyed my self.

I came back throught there in 89 and both the Idle Hour and the Phesant Tap were gone and nobody knew what happened. This is a disgrace and plain un American. Bring them back.
