Witness, law enforcement, and rescue worker accounts at the scene confirm that this woman was driving at excessively high speeds estimated to be perhaps 80-85 mph. She was going fast enough not only to kill her own small child and herself, but to completely destroy a big Ford F-150 truck and seriously injure its innocent occupant.

It is also reported that canned air cannisters were found in the car. It is clear that this was no run of the mill ordinary I'm sorry I didn't see you accident. Something has to explain this completely reckless behavior. All objective signs suggest that drugs, alcohol, and/or inhalants may very well be the only explanation for this horrific behavior. If there was an autopsy and blood analysis done, I suppose it will tell us one way or the other.

Nothing smart-ass or ignorant about people looking for an explanation. It is only ignorant to stick your head in the sand and ignore the facts. This is all legitimate inquiry, given the horrible circumstances and irresponsible, reckless behavior of the driver. It could very well have been your innocent family member who she rammed and killed. Perhaps you would feel differently then.

Regardless of what and why it happened, it is sad when someone gets killed, especially a small child. I feel sorry for the adult, but I feel grief for the small child.

I was at the scene and saw this car flying around 67/ M highway, my family including my husband, myself and my 4 and 5 year old sons had just pulled into the gas station across the highway and was in the same spot that truck was in nearly 10 seconds before hand. Thank the lord that no one else was hurt. I have to wonder if an autopsy was being done on the mother because she was in fact driving very very fast around that corner. The gentleman in which she hit, had been ejected out of his truck, limbs mangled and the rear axle was laying on top of him. My husband actually helped lift this off of him, afterwards my husband started toward the flipped car and saw so much blood he couldn't bare to continue. I am so very happy that the man in the truck survived. I can only hope and pray that this little toddler was not killed due to EXTREME negligence on the mother's behalf. The sight of this horrific accident will never leave my mind. I am so sorry to this family, whom is missing their baby girl right now... why did this happen?

I had also just pulled in to that gas station right before the women came flying around the curve. My brother and I were the first people to arrive on the scene to find the man laying aside his mangled pick-up, and I also happened to be one of the ones who had the misfortune of cutting the three yr old from her car-seat because the car was upside down. It was by far the most gruesome and tragic thing I have ever witnessed, and I will never forget that little girls face. Or the other two women we pulled from the vehicle for that matter. My deepest regrets and condolences go out to all the family.

Sad that a child was killed. Sounds like the girl was an idiot looking for a place to kill herself...

Dont worry about what the woman did. She is dead and can not defend herself on here. God is the only one who truly knows what happend. And everyone on here talking crap will also be judged. what if something happend to one of you? How would your family feel if they got on here and seen the stuff people write about you?

Well in reality god. The highway patrol and anyone that can read knows what happened. So you never judge anyone's actions? How do you avoid thieves and assorted turds?

Again since it happened on the public roadway it is everyone's business. That is the way we avoid these kinds of things by discussing the causes and behaviors that kill people.

This is a cautionary tale that should be discussed a lot....

So are you judging me? That is mighty Christian of you. See it is okay for you to pass judgment but anyone else does and we will suffer the wrath of god!!!!

But, you all do not know 100% that she was doing any type of drugs. Just because a can of air duster was in her car does not mean she was huffing. And I never said I was a christian, I am going to hell anyways might as well judge dumbass like you.
