Freedom is a necessary condition for life, but it doesn't guarantee Happiness, or Peace, or whatever other virtues you want in your life. Without Freedom, nothing about your life matters, since it's not your life. When a person is just obedient to somebody else, or an institution, or to a tyrannical government, then they don't have any basis for morality. Morality and Obedience are opposites. When a person is just doing as they are told, just taking orders, they do not take into consideration what is right or wrong, what is just, and what is injust. All they are doing, is doing what they are told, without any preconception of whether or not we're supposed to being what they are telling us to do. Morality is when you decide for yourself when something is right or wrong, and then proceed from there. I think Freedom is a necessary precondition for life, because without free will, without free choice, then you aren't really human. All of your actions, which is when ideas matter, your actions and behavior is a million times more important than your ideas, but all of your actions, for the obedient, is based on what somebody else's concoction of morality is. An oppressor's love is a love of death, not of life. It's a sadistic love, because it robs the individual of their own free will, which strips away from them, their humanity. The other virtues besides the top there were just other "good" things others may say, but I really believe it's between Love, Happiness, and Freedom. Freedom is a necessary condition for life, so therefore it wins. It's the road that we need to walk on. Having a road to walk on doesn't guarantee our happiness, but it's there for us to choose which path we wish to go. Without that choice, true happiness, true love, true anger, true peace, cannot be. So that puts Freedom in a whole other category. Once one has freedom, then what ? Well, that's a different discussion... but it's the pursuit of happiness, right, and one can't be happy without love... some folks say love is also a precondition for life. Without love, that's not life, they say. Well, maybe. I think we can find freedom through love also. Think Django Unchained. He was a freeman, but he really became a freeman when he fought for what was his: his wife. Fighting for Love makes one realize what is important in life, and then they choose to fight for those things which are important. By fighting for love, with their freedom, they obtain happiness, satisfaction, harmony, peace. Maybe there isn't a promised land. Maybe we just need to learn to love the struggle. It's always a fight, and those who win and succeed, are those who fight.

As ironic as it sounds, a true revolutionary has great feelings of love.
