Has anyone else heard of this? And if so,,,do you have any details?I only just heard about it myself,,,but hear that it came from several sources including the school throughout yesterday afternoon.I'm not by any means trying to cause a panic, but I believe that Columbine proved that there's no such thing as preventative medicine against premeditated chaos in the schools,,,so my son's gonna hang out with me today.

My brother has kids that go to BC. I think the threat was for the Friday before break, which is finals, at least for his kids. From what I understand, the kids who made the threat did so on facebook and they are identified. It is scary.

I think it's just all the kids talking about the world ending, they have talked to all the kids. Add bullitt central at friend on fb if you have fb, they were talking about it on there

Now that makes sense.I thought it strange for parents to be notified before the problem had been resolved or run it's course.Since hoodlums are usually unpredictable though, added to the fact that the vigilant mind is usually capable of manipulating the system, multiplied by the fact that they could have co-conspirators willing to pick up where they couldn't,,,I'm not gonna take any chances.I appreciate the reply itsme'.Have a good day ma'am.

My kids just got home and filled me in a little on the situation. Apparently a young man was making threats on fb in regards to 12-21. He also stated that bullitt central could "suck his ak-47". The boy was arrested but allegedly there are several involved whos names are unknown. I can't vouch for the validity of this information, these are teenagers, but I'm seriously considering keeping mine home that day.

I have 2 kids that go to BC and they will not be in school next friday. The school keeps saying that the kids will be fine and they have everything under control. Well what do they plan on doing, searching all 3,000 plus kids that walk in the door every morning? I think not. There has been more than 1 threat from what i have heard. I do not want to be a parent that sends their child to school that day then regrets it later. Now i know that they are kids and half of them say things to get attention. But now days you can never be sure. I really hope & pray nothing happens at all next week at the school.

why have they not sent or notified anybody about this? My daughter is there, if the threat is made it is automatic arrest irregardless still considered a terroristic plot or what ever they call it now. If knowledge is key, the school better step up and take care of this matter like it is serious, because it is in my opinion

Realistically, the school has no earthly way of assuring the safety of students if a fellow student decides to go rogue,(it's actually rather insulting that they would imply otherwise).Actually, that's just a ploy to bamboozle naive parents (94 percent of 'em) into believing that everything is perfectly safe,so they send their child to school and support attendance quota's.In my opinion,it's already been proven several times over that any threat on any scale should be taken seriously. So,even though it's only being simply suggested that things could go hay-wire on the twenty-first,,,I'm gonna trust my judgment over whichever mouth-piece with a pretty neck-tie that the school elects to do the talking, and not only keep my boy home from school,,,but make him my shadow for the day.

To answer your question,if the school notified parents every-time there was a possibility of chaos,,,the parents clogging the schools would make it impossible to work through, and could possibly push a troubled mind into believing his plan to be in harms way, which could make him re-act impulsively,,,and prematurely get stupid.Die Hard with Bruce Willis pretty much focuses on the possibilities of panic filled parents attempting to retrieve their little bundle of cuteness in a threat.Gave me some insight and outlook on it.Only my opinion.Feel free to interpret it how you will though.

I happen to agree with that scenario but in fact I really don't see mine going there's to many others supposed to be involved.
There is noway school can protect all students ...

I agree with you one-hundred percent.Even with metal-detectors at the doors, policemen scanning the crowd, and lock down in the class-rooms),the schools can not guarantee the safety of anyone. Teen-age minds aren't very reasonable,,,but they're extremely intelligent. And considering that even the tightest of school-security won't be run on the level of airport security, then janitors with a key and a desire to be "cool",,,could be bought off with a story of sneaking a birthday cake into the cafeteria for a teacher,,,and a promise of a piece.Don't know where you got your information (can't even confirm my own),but can't help but agree with you that it's foolish to take chances and gamble your child's life regardless of how corroborated the threat.

They have notified a lot of parents about it. And the kid was arrested. But he had friends that were in on it but will not give up their names.
