Infant Found Dead At Private Daycare, Police Report

A four-month-old baby boy died Thursday morning at a daycare operated at a private home in Tulsa, according to a report from the Tulsa Police Department.

My child attends a home daycare & I believe that it is a very safe environment. I wouldnt pay someone to put my child in a bed that is located in a room that they are not in. That child should have been with the other children!!

I thought the story said she checked on the kid at 10 and then again at 11 when the boy was unresponsive......

I am not sure where 2.5 hours came from the story says infant was laid down at 10am and checked at 11am.
This is a very sad day for all associated with this. It amazes me how fast life can change in a split second.
My wife and I lost a daughter in a similar manner, I laid her down and about an hour later she was not breathing.
Autopsy declared her death as Sudden Infant Death Syndrom
My heart felt sympathy and prayer goes out to the family and to the day care worker.

Sad to say but this sounds like SIDS. We had some friends go though this several years ago. Very very sad.

this is so sad.... while i wished it hadn't have happened, i only hope is was sids, not abuse.

but, i was so paranoid with my son, and likely with this one on it's way, i checked every 10 minutes or so when he napped.

the family and the daycare is in my prayers.

Oh, I think I see where Tega is coming from . . . baby dropped off at 7:30, checked on at 10:00. But it doesn't actually say that was the *only* time he was checked on.

The story says the child was dropped off at 7:30. The daycare owner checked on the child at 10:00 and the child appeared to be sleeping normally. The daycare owner checked again at 11:00 and the child wasn't breathing. The story doesn't say what time the child was laid down.

That doesn't mean she didn't check on him from 7:30 till 10. It is just stating the last time she saw him responsive (10) after he was dropped off.

Well why did she wait to check on him for a hour. That is to long you have to check on them babies every 20 minutes. And you have to keep the near you. That woman in that Daycare I believe that was neglect
