Goodmorning !
My husband and I bought a damaged corvette from e-bay . The car was origionally sold to Capital One Auto Dismantlers out of Ranchro Cordova California from Safeco Insurance in the US. We have been trying to reach this Capital One Auto Dismantlers company , however we have discovered the telephone number is no longer working , and the Phone number happends to be that of the same as yours , witch is no longer in service as well .
It is extreamly important that we some how contact someone for more information about this car !
We would greatly appreciate it if someone from your place of buisness coule either return this email with a contact phone number that we may speak to someone to explain further . Please help if you can , we are at a dead end with this car !

I bought a Porsche 911 from them through eBay. The title wasn't even ever transferred to Capital One! Now I can't get a valid title in my name. The car was supposedly just body damage, but after $4500 in body repairs I discovered the engine is damaged too. I'm ok with the repairs because it's eBay and there is always risk. But I don't want to put more money into a car I can't get a title for.

I bought a 2005 New Beetle from Capital One. They said and showed pics of light damage = $1,000.oo worth. Car was a mess, sabotaged rear trunk release, wires cut and safety cord cut. Hood latch cable unhooked, Dr. door latch unhooked, windows won't roll down on and on and on........

Bought a car from them on ebay. Not at all as pictured and represented. I understand that hidden damage is why the insurance companies always sell with a salvage title but I feel the boys at Capital one can do a better inspection and be a little more "honest". I'm going to follow up on this post shortly. Stay Tuned!

Normal for the title to be passed on without actually being transferred into say "Capital One's" name. Same with my title from them It was in the insurance companies name signed over to them, then they just signed over to me. I had no problems and it went smooth. They really are not bad to deal with and the cars they get are nicer than norm. Just the inspection and being more honest is needed. Then too, all about money and seeing what they can get away with. Confront them and see what happens. Too, depends on what you paid, dirt cheap price - expect to pay later, high price -better be close to what was represented.

Hi, I would like to buy a Porsche 911th (964 or 993) from the car dealer “Capital One Motor”. I am a little bit surprised by the comments, which I found here. I have to agree with Henry, where are the negative feedbacks? The offers of capital one motors are very interesting and here in Germany, the Porsche's will be on best prices. If someone has made experience, I would be happy about a message. My email "funtogo(a)gmx(point)de ". By the way, someone can tell me a good site for used cars? Especially with Porsche. Or someone knows a good car dealer with good offers of Porsche. Thanks in advance. Regards Mark

This review site stopped me from bidding on a 2004 911 "rebuildable". Why the negative feedback was never posted on EBay is quite disturbing since a significant amount of $ is envolved. Even if you have an independant pre-purchase inspection done, there is no certainty of honesty. You've got to look at the vehicle & maybe best to buy local.

I bought the 911 (996 series) from them and left good feedback on ebay because my car was being repaired by a 3rd party and I didn't realize the extent of the damage it had. However, I do want to retract my statement about the engine. I believe it was ok when sold to me after all and the damage was my fault. However, the title was a problem because in my state you (capital one) cannot sign over a title to an end buyer (me in this case) unless the title was at some point assigned to the seller (capital one), which it was not in this case. I did get it resolved without the help of capital one. They would not acknowledge my phone calls or emails after the sale. I would buy from them again, knowing that "buyer be ware" you may have a larger investment than anticipated. But I think that is part of the risk of buying from ebay. I am happy with my experience overall but it has taken about a year to get the car costmetically, mechanically and paperwork straightened out. All told, I have salvaged 996 awd for about 2/3 the cost of a non-repaired vehicle. But that includes the bodywork and paint I knew I would have to invest, so it looks like new. They are not bad guys, but could communicate a little better after the sale. Overall a decent experience.

Hi Gang, I am considering making an offer on a car from them too. I see the pos. feedback, and am wondering if any of the people with the bad experience actually bought the car through ebay or if the deal was completed outside of ebay. I ask because I was faced with a similar situation in the past with a dealer in Texas. All his good stuff with nothing hidden was completed through ebay, and the ones done off ebay were the defective vehicles, giving a positive feedback score.

This review helped. I was contacted by "Vic" of Capital One Motors recently. He asked me what made me sour on the VW mentioned. I told him and he asked me what I spent over the advertised "light left front damage" that was advertised on his listing. I told him the amounts and received within 3 days Vic PayPaled me that amount. I would say our comments were heard by Capital One and they are working on their image.

Just bought a Ford F-250 from Alex and Vic at Capital One Auto Dismantlers Rancho Cordova Ca. I read the above reviews, and decided to add my experience with them. Contacted Alex after seeing the add on Ebay for info. Alex was great at explaining what he knew of the truck, condition, and title work that would be necessary. We worked out the price and details on payment and paperwork. Vic handled all the details and sent me all the paperwork right away. Alex even sent up the shipping. The truck arrived looking exactly like the pictures. So all I have to say is they are great guys to deal with and a completely smooth transaction!! Go ahead and give them a Shot, I think they will earn your business too.

I appears that Vic and Alex are the same individuals who used to sell VW and parts from a place near Las Vegas, Nevada. They used to operate as Z & S Imports. They went out of business and there were many people who had bad experience dealing with them.

There is a Mercedes on eBay now I have inquired about 2 times through email & no response back. Also no phone number. They don't want to answer questions on why it's salvaged I'm guessing? I'm filing a report with eBay if it's possible. Lousy company

We had an eBay offer accepted on an RV offered by Capital One. And then I read all the reviews and got more than a little paranoid. It was a long fearful drive to pick it up.

All that worry for absolutely nothing. Although they had received our bank's cashier's check a week before we picked it up, they did not cash it until we approved the unit.

The RV was a one owner repo. The 60+ pictures they provided represented the RV accurately. There were some areas where the exterior paint had faded, but it was clearly visible on the pictures. The original owner had removed most of the costly add-ons prior to letting the bank repo it. The entertainment system had also been stripped. That was all clear on the photos.

Captial One did not know much about RVs. To their credit, they didn't make any claims on things they didn't know how to check. They said the slides worked fine and it drove great. This was very accurate.

Sure, there were a bunch of little cosmetic things that need to be done. But the unit was a fantastic deal for the price. Truth is, we've put less money into this RV compared to every other RV we ever purchased.

Before we left, they put in enough gas, a quarter tank, to ensure that the generator worked. They checked/filled all the fluids, and ensured the tire pressure was correct.

Getting them to return a call was sometimes like pulling teeth, but Vic stepped up with regard to dealing with our financing bank. Registration was slow as could be (2 months), and we had to get the smog certificate ourselves and mail it back them.

But ... we got a great deal, it was well worth a little inconvenience. Just because they are an auto dismantler, located on Recycle Road (seriously)- doesn't mean everything they sell is junk. Do your homework and ask a lot of questions. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I too am thinking of getting a motor home from them, although the a salvage title bothers me.
I am kinda hesitant in putting in a bid, before I inspect the RV.
I am thinking of flying out there to see the coach myself.
