Remember that freak October snowstorm that blanketed the Northeast? The storm broke tree limbs, caused power outages, and ruined Halloween party plans across the Tri-State area.

In Fair Lawn, NJ, however, The Jay Everett Band was not deterred by the terrible weather. In fact, along with a corps of dedicated actors and production personnel, the band filmed a new music video during the October 29th storm which they have just released this week on YouTube and Facebook:

The filming took place on Heights Avenue in Fair Lawn, with the aid of a number of neighbors. The use of sidewalks, front porches, costumes, and even dogs were offered to help in the production. In another neighborly gesture, the neighborhood mailman positioned his mail truck as a prop while he delivered mail up and down the street.

The video, for The Jay Everett Band's song 'There's A Girl,' tells the story of a lonely man and woman, a geek and a postal worker respectively. The video's story, however, belies the community building experience that took place during its creation on Heights Avenue during the October snowstorm of 2011.
