We need someone new, we need someone with a change in mind. We need someone with new and fresh qualifications. We need someone with a new take on our city so we can begin to bring businesses back to Fair Grove and start a fiery relaunch of massive home building. We need some who, according to city council minutes doesn't seem to want to squash the Parks Department, Historical Society and police force in order to keep his ideal of "his" small town in check. We WANT someone who will work with the other city officials instead of thinking he IS the City Official. We need someone with more ties to the area than being "unemployed" but has a long residency status. We need someone whose biggest accomplishments are the "sewer system" which took over 5 years to do and paving Main Street which also took nearly half a decade to pave 300 yards of roadway.
Streets and sewer systems are fine, Mr. Danderson. How about jobs? How about businesses? How about new shopping, retail and commercial spaces? How about revitalizing historical downtown? How about bringing the sections of Fair Grove that should have already been so into the 21st century? You've had 16 years. It's time for a change.
It's time for Ron Marsh for Alderman Ward 2

This is it, folks. It is our chance to set Fair Grove up with a new, fresh, limitless horizon. We have the chance to see our city begin to grow again, with the likes we have not seen since the mid 1990s. I ask everyone in Fair Grove to hit the polls tomorrow, but more-so, folks in Ward 2, I implore you to join me at the voting booth. Do not just simply fill in "Jeffrey O. Danderson" on your ballot card. Think of all of the lessons he has taught us of apathy, disrespect an lethargic antipathy to the general well being and growth of our town. Do not be swayed by Councilman Danderson's Buffalo Reflex where he touts bolstering "24-hour" police coverage. I think we all remember his part in Chief Akins removal a few years ago and how hard he seemed to strive to tear apart city infrastructure. We've seen him pick fights with the mayor in downtown Fair Grove. We've seen him be absent from important council meetings. We've seen him do just about everything in his power to keep "his" little town just that – "his LITTLE town." He grew up here - he wants people to know that. He went to high school here - and that is fine. But ladies and gentlemen of the City of Fair Grove and essentially Ward 2 - it is not "his" town. It is yours, it is mine, it is all of ours. If you live on Beckerdite Road, it is yours. If you like on Saddleclub Road, it is yours. If you live on Main Street, Delaina Street, Walnut or Maple Street, it is yours. This town belongs to us - it is time we took it back.
Let the papers say this tomorrow evening.
Councilman Jeffrey O. Danderson - Ward 2 Alderman 1995-April 2011
Councilman Ron Marsh - Ward 2 Alderman April 2011 -........
