Why not limit them to 5 turkeys each? and then each tukey will need to have 100 square feet of living space, a monthly vet check up and have to be walked three times a day?

Yes, we need turkey barns, yes, we need chicken whatever, we need beef, we need pork. There has to be a way to take care of the smell, we treat septic tanks to control the smell, What about the Ag. people, can't they come up with an idea that would also keep the cost down. Yes, when the wind is just right it stinks, but if research is done and careful study attempts have been made, there should be a simple solution to the situation. Then everybody will be happy.
Yea spread it on the farm ground instead of using costly and more toxic chemicals and fertilizers made from fossil fuels. you think that septic tanks arent dumped somewhere? it just disappears? think before you speak, farmers and agriculturist are some of the smartest and most conservative people out there and we will take care of it you just go to your 9-5 and we'll take care of the rest.

I Live in Versailles and I have just hired a lawyer. There IS something you can do. Its a civil suit for nuisance and putting a clause on your own land. How does a 500.00 charge for every feather sound and you can buy the air rights to your property as welll and a nice heafty charge for those three weeks that discusting air comes on your property. How about a charge for the damage done to your car from the semis running up and down a gravel road and causing the county not to be able to keep up maintenance. Our community is coming togather to stop it. Sorry to those of you whose family makes their money that way but you should be more considerate of your neighbors and maybe buy remote land to put a turkey barn on, then its a win win situation.
