More details on Bethea shooting

For all of those who are concerned with what really happened that night. It was all about a simply female wanting to get Shondell Smith jumped (beat up). Which was jealousy between to first cousins. Allegedly Shondell Smith use to date the victim sister and he broke up with her a couple months back. Then Smith later started dating someone which appeared to be the vitamins first cousin. So long story short the victims mother was auguring with Shondell Smith all night. Later that night when Shondell Smith attempted to leave the hole in the wall (illegal alcohol and gambling, which took place every week end) the sister of the victim took her brother which was Anthony Bethea to Shondell’s car when he was trying to leave. Anthony Bethea struck Shondell Smith in the face first and the mother, two sisters, and a male cousin all attacked Smith. So in self defense Shondell fired his gun, in the process Anthony Bethea was hit in the abdomen. Shondell told his alleged girl to notify the police of what had just happened. Shondell proceeded to his car to get to a safe haven (area). Upon trying to get to safety the police arrived. Out of no were someone yelled that Shondell was the guy with the gun and he is in the car. Before the police approached the car he opened fire. Shondell had both hands outside of the car widnow, WITH NO GUN. The police just kept on shooting at Shondell‘s vehicle, which killed Shondell. So for all of those that have read all of the gossip in the news and the newspapers this is the real story.

Real NC GURL< you are full of it. Mr. Smith came to Fair Bluff looking for trouble. He was messing with a married woman. I think he got exactly what he deserved. He ruined the life of one of WCHS finest football players. MR. Bethea stood a very good chance of getting a scholarship. These loose women need to be jailed.

Yeah you are right these loose women need to be jailed. But the new girl lied and said she was not with her husband anymore. But that really doesn't have anyhing to do with Mr. Bethea and his family jumping MR. Smih. Anyway Mr. Bethea should have stayed out of the whole thing. His sister is the reason why his chance of getting a scholarship is gone!! Not Mr. Smith. If someone jumped you what would you do?? Get them off you the best way you could right? So instead of saying Mr. Smith was looking for trouble don't think so dear! When is it a crime to come to Fair Bluff and play cards? Also for you to say that Mr. Smith got what he deserved, well your full of it dolly!! If thats the case then Mr. Bethea got exactly what he deserved. But at least he go his life. But his mother, sisters,and he rest of his little click should learn from this one.

Well i guess he won't get nothing now he should of thought of that scholarship before he started swinging on somebody

I hope Shondell Smith parents get a good lawyer and sue all of the ones that jump on their son that night they is the ones that is mainly responsible for that mess that went down. If they won't never jump on shondell he won't shot that gun to get them off of him.I bet you now they is looking crazy somewhere. what comes around goes around.

I don't know what happen that night of the shooting'but I know on one side of the family their hearts is very heavy. And the other side is upset or mad. But soon or a later both families needs to learn to forgive each other for christ sacks. Ihave always learn that people will play together and fight the next minute. So please,before is to late love one another. Idon't know either side of both families.

Hello Dolly you are so full of it. I knew shondell personally, he was not the type to go around starting trouble, and for you to say that he got what he deserved and you dont even know him you should have kept that comment to yourself. mR BETHEA IS MY FIRST COUSIN AND FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE ARUGUING WITH EACH OTHER YOU NEED TO STOP BOTH FAMILIES ARE TRYING TO DEAL WITH THIS AND MOVE ON.
