They sent a letter in the mail asking "Do you have a family member, neighbor or friend whi is currently working in a non-union workplace and is interested in learning more about the UAW?"

You can fill it out on the back and mail it in. Posted paid!

Well lets see. The UAW has killed three Auto Manufactures. A very slow and painful death. Now they want to kill more of them. Unions have destroyed many companies and industries in WV. I hope they are run out of town. They are like dinosaurs and they should be extinct.

You got to be kidding. The Unions have single handily destroyed the Manufacturing sector of our economy. Obama has put every American more in debt than we have ever been before. None of the Obama fixes have worked.

What are you talking about. Most people don't get half of what you get. Check out your Toledo suppliers who are UAW, they don't get sub-pay and many are laid-off. you seem to think Union means high pay, benefits, and things like sub-pay. Most union people don't have those benefits and that includes UAW shops. Do you even realize this? When 80% of the public is against you, that includes a lot of other Union people. Don't say union, say Big 3 UAW, it is totally different.

You know this for a fact or think it?
Many plant management, treat their employees as an asset. If you would have worked at a japanese plant that has implemented TPM, you would actually know this. Once TPM is implemented, the workers are typically given a pay increase, since they now have increased responsibility. The managers of TPM facilities realize that the workers know the process better than anyone, and that everyone is there to serve the operator(production technician). Maintenance is there to assist, engineering is to assist, all of them are to support the operator. Back to the no layoff, most of them will put workers to work doing other tasks, painting, cleaning, loan them to other departments, look for volunteers who want to go home. They try to avoid the layoff because the bad moral that is associated with it. Your conditioned that management and hourly are adversaries, each is trying to screw the other. This isn't the case at many, many non union facilities. Someone said it earlier, you have union, non-union, and the detroit 3 UAW.

well let me guess you are a company personel who hates the union because if the company goes union you would actually have to treat the employees with some respect or your job would become extinct. if not i would guess you are a owner who knows if the union comes in that it may be in shambles now but will make a comeback and you would actually have to give your employees some benefits and treat them like humans instead of robots. i can't imagine anyone working for non union and not being treated like somebody why they would turn the UAW down. yes we are having problems but they have been good to my family for almost 12 years and i expect they will be coming back as soon as the economy makes a come back. GOD BLESS THE UAW>

Lets see- Hey Toyota workers, look what we the UAW did for GM, Ford, and Chrysler: Hundreds of thousands of lost jobs, wage cuts, lost benefits. Give us 50 bucks a month and we'll do the same for you.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Libra

Your social life has a lot to offer under the Leo Moon and it would be a shame to spend too much time on your own. Venus, your life-ruler, in the sign of the Archer, is outgoing and jovial, but you're keen to make a serious effort with people you aren't normally all that keen on. Take them in your stride, and look on the bright side. There's always something to like about anyone!
