Finally, a place where the out-of-work Harley workers can go to make REAL WORLD wages instead of the pie-in-the-sky wages they were making + frivalous benefits (like having weeks of paid time off for "hunting seasons")

H-D workers, rejoice!!!! You'll soon be making what you are truly WORTH, instead of what your greedy Union has strong-armed out of H-D corporate.

So far I have heard of no to few of the hired being laid off harley workers, as I know someone who was hired for the plant. However, I agree 100%....Harley workers need to see that they did this to themselves, they wanted the union to get them bigger pay and better benefits, in exchange, Harley had to make cost of buying a Harley outrageous. And now it all backfired, most people would be happy making $14-$15 an hour, but not those people. It's a real shame

Unskilled workers making HD money struggling? Are they paying off college loans? Looks like the good times are over. I know someone who works there who has been there like 20yrs, not a manager or anything and he lives in a $450K home...Over paid? I think so! I have mixed feelings about them, on one hand they are over paid and spoiled, and if Harley leaves they deserve what they get...on the other hand the local economy will surely suffer. American factory workers are over paid and the unions push businesses around to the point where it is better for them to leave.

Harley should stay, Kick the union out and hire some local people at a market rate $10-15/hour or so....or move to Mexico for $15/day.

Over 30 yrs. ago we were a Catapillar family, and I hated it. Had to plan my life around a 3 yr contract. Once upon a time unions were good, then the greed set in and it went downhill from there. I agree HD employees and the union has done this to all of York Cty. Many will suffer. There is a saying, "Greed will make you Poor". You can not reap what you do not sow. Think about what truly blesses you. Go back to the roots that this country was built upon.

I agree!!!! I truly don't want to see HD leave either, I am just totally against the mafia run strongarm tactics of the Union with it's greedy members.

I also have a neighbour living WAY "high on the hog" with a house full of Wolf furniture, extravagent vacations, 2 luxury cars, etc and his wife doesn't even work. He was complaining to me about how he can't work 80 hours per week in maintenance or whatever and now can only work 40......Boo-Freaking-Hoo!!!! People like him are the reason H-D is losing money, and they are too stupid to see it...they just want to collect their triple over-time paychecks and live the good life when in reality they aren't worth anything NEAR that much.

Anyone see Fox 43's Evan Forrester and those riders deliver the DVD of the event and signatures??? The president of H-D came out; he wouldn't even let them in the building!!!!! How telling is that???? I feel come next month, the annoucement will be made, and the gravy train will be over.

Arm & Hammer better be smart and not hire former Union members or else they'll be trying to get Union in there and bleed that company to death as well.

Capricorn

You're swayed by your emotions today, making you susceptible to other people's machinations. Are you putty in the hands of your beloved? Are you willing to do whatever, just to keep the peace? Watch out for the influence of another's black mood, or you'll soon start to feel just as miserable. Fortunately this strange mood won't last long.
