Isn't her son brain injured? I had heard he had a head injury (her fault) and could be brain injured. If so then he is probably easily influenced. I this is is sad when people get this low.

You all can sit and make assumption and criticize other Hope's life, but I have a question for those who are sitting and judging her!!! When was the last time any of you spoke to her, or have even set eyes on her???!!! Hope is one of the most kind hearted people I have met. Someone stated "it's people like her who give seabrook a bad name" NO, it people like all of you who are IGNORANT, UNINFORMED, UNEDUCATED, INDIGN humans....
This woman has fought battle demons and adversity with such tenacity it has given her the strength, courage, and drive to fight her health issues, her addictions, and TEACH her sons some of life's lessons along the way!!! She may not make/or be able to make "the right" choice as we see it, but it is the "right" choice for her life at the moment. YOU/WE COULD LEARN A GREAT DEAL FROM THIS WOMAN!!! When I sit and speak with her, I at times sit aw listening to the mountains this woman has had to climb and she still manages to smile a genuine smile everyday. SHE WILL GIVE YOU HER LAST DIME TO HELP SOMEONE IN NEED OR HUNGRY (yes, even all of you who have collectively defamed one of the most genuine people in this town)!!! She would not only give you her last dime, she would WITHOUT HESITATION OR PITY, GIVE YOU THE LOBSTERS IF IT MEANT HELPING OUT SOMEONE IN NEED!!!!

Are you kidding me? No one said she wasnt a nice person,and Im sure we all in some way have been through a tough time or know someone that has,but where is it ok to steal? The worst part is that she would take part in this with her son. How is that in any way being a good parent?
Im sure she has great days when she is a good person,but the way you stick up for the things she has always done is way way way out there. Your usually not handed a good life,you see what the right thing to do is and build on that,you dont steal things. Hell I dont have money issues and going out for a lobster roll from time to time is a treat and I know it is. Its not a way of life. Of all things,take a piece of fruit if they were that hungry. How you can even think this way of life is ok in any way is strange.
I know she can be a good person,but who can really trust her? Maybe you should take her in and explain its time to grow up. She looks so much older than she is and its sad to see that to be honest.
