Friday, April 17, 2009 You would think there has been enough attention given to the serving of intoxicated persons to make owners, managers and personnel mindful of the risks they face in not paying close enough attention to the law.

its getting to the point that if you come in contact with alcohol. you will be arrested for one reason or another. looks like prohibition is sneaking in the back door.

I live in a small town in Oregon, i've watched bartenders here serve my brother untill he literally falls down on the floor. One time last summer they served him like that and he started walking home, blacked out, fell down & broke his are and almost got run over. The bartenders need to be aware of how much booze the serve their customers.

What a joke. Personal responsibility is dead in this country, I hope everyone deserves what they get. The bartender didn't force the booze down his throat, did he? It's always the other guys fault. This country is such a joke.

Lance you're right, its dead! I just can't understand why everything is someone elses fault!! It is really sad to see. I try to teach my son that you stand up and admit when you're wrong. But when you see things like that it makes me wonder why I bother!

Great point Lance, it is no one's fault but the person doing the drinking, and that is where the law should end.
Oh and Grumpy, weren't you responsible for not getting your brother away from the booze and perhaps drive him home? Bartenders fault?.....hardly...if ANYONE other than your brother was at fault it was YOU!

The only time I would disagree is a case here in NY where the bartender carried the drunk out to her car, started it and buckled her in for safety!!! But other than pure gross stupidity, take some damn responsibility!!!
