So, are you saying Mr. Yogi, that you have cheap apartments to rent -- less than the national average of $900 for a two bedroom apartment?
The Star-Bulletin should run your ads for vacancies as a public service.

Questions for Paltin? In this age of all-volunteer military, do you love your country enough to risk your life for it? Are you willing to do that even though the system we have has resulted in the electorate placing idiots in the White House and congress? OR Are you a taker and a whiner? For you Watada fans, that doesn't mean that I agree with him? Consider a military which allows all soldiers to choose whether they want to fight a particular war or not. Now, look on the economic side. How about if the military moves all of its bases, particularly ground and air units, off Hawaii to areas where the have adequate training areas without a bunch of people bitching all the time? How about if they reopen Ft. Ord with nearby Hunter-Ligett and move the 25th ID, there? How about moving the Air Force tranport units to where they can practice their air drops without disturbing others? Remember Patsy Mink telling the Army that they needed to cut the fat, particularly headquarters, right after Vietnam, and the Army cut USARPAC? Jeez, do you remember the wailing and crying as local DOD civilians were laid off or relocated to the mainland and businesses folded? Hey, make up your minds!

The voters have extremely short memories. They will quickly forget the poor performance of their elected pols... And will quickly vote for them again. Race based, name based, ethnic based, you name it. Same old, same old. No change (and the voters wonder why)? Maybe we should change the voters?

I went to that site...and think you need to look at the owner of the site. I need to read the books in their entirety...One line taken out of context says it all.
Also, White American..your name says it all also. Should you run for office? that name would crucify you in exactly the same way.

The Star-Bulletin poll should be taken with a grain of salt. Nothing to stop someone from voting many times.

Mr. Yogi is in dire need of a reality check and needs to spend less time with corporate spreadsheets.
Rents are way-way out of line with wages. A simple check of median wages from census records will more than adequately support this. Ditto for housing prices.
My complex use to have 2 bedroomsfor $900 a month only 5 years ago. Now, property mgmts claim they are worth $1,700. That's nonsense. The only ones who can afford those prices are the military with their housing allowances. I'm just glad I was able to buy my unit in the slump of the late 90's.
