I found your page though google. Thank you. I have never been to Louisiana, but am coming for the first time in my life this fall. I found my family in Alexandria, but have not been able to locate or make contact with those in Cottonport. Their names are Lockwood. I had a returned letter a couple of months ago from 106 marcotte lane. Is that a legal residence. let me know

Hello, I'm from Avoyelles Parish, and I work in Marksville. Maybe I can help. I believe 106 Marcotte Lane is a legal address but I'm not certain. I'll post again later on when I can answer with certainty.

Update: Phone book shows no Lockwoods in Cottonport, so they must not be listed, or have since moved.

Thank you so much. I believe the town Of Cottonport uses P.O boxes. There is a house there if the address is googled. My greatgrandparents had my grandfather and his sister in Cottonport 1918, 1920 and 1925. I am told there is still family there. I am also coming to Marksville. I found my family there.
