Woman, daughter hold signs admitting theft from birthday girl, 9

In exchange for jail time, a woman and her adult daughter have agreed to stand outside a Pennsylvania courthouse holding signs saying they stole a gift card from a 9-year-old girl on her birthday.

The embarassment of holding up a sign and admitting (at their ages) that they stole from a 9 year old on her birthday is the best punishment, IMO.

They could still be sent to jail, the judge may not go for just probation and holding up a sign. Maybe this and some jail time would be an even better punishment.

This is good, but I would have also had the mother be anally violated with a mop handle.......That would teach her.

It actually feels good administering that punishment, she would deserve it and it would act as a deterrant to others. I mean really, who would steal from a kid knowing that they would be anally violated by a square broom handle in public ? I can't think of a better deterrant.
