has any one driven by cleveland ave, I live on swan street and called code enforcement the house is loaded with racoons on their roof that go from my house to their house in the middle of the nite. Code enforcement did make an apperance to the home but I can't believe they will let the people stay in that home, back porch which faces my property is ready to come down and not up to code, I understand the owner is old and that is fine, but do your job code enforcement. And I found out they are related to Stat Smith so I am sure nothing will be done.

i know that house , i know the old man , i know he needs a nursing home now .racoons can cause a fire , that is a big concern . the family that live there are very sweet , they could use some help , from the city , they have that community development program ,they should help, you just need to meet income guide lines . people should try to help their neighbors instead of wanting to see code inforcement hand out fines , i dont think people enjoy living with wildlife in there house , maybe the city can help those folks out they lived there a long long time , i think they are just having money issues .not for nothing they are americans ,all to much the people that land in this country , come first . i know that old guy served in a war , but he is forgotten about the new comers are first.

Because he is a true American he is probably too proud to take handouts and doesn't know the system to get any help.

There is an old woman on Dean Street living in her car and her house is boarded up. Councilman Cardello calls to get her checked on all the time and had Tri-City put her in a hotel; she turned the key back in and returned to her car. Some people you can't help unless they want to help themselves.

I urge everyone to drive by 62 Cleveland ave. Would anyone want to live next to that! Bombard the mayors office with complaints. If I have a can in my yard the code enforcement would be kncking down the door!

Let's start posting addresses of run-down houses. Maybe it will give some of these homeowners a little bit of encouragement to clean up their act.

IF racoons are actually living in that house, I would think the board of health would be involved, or should be...What if the racoons contract rabies? IF these are Stat's relatives, why doesn't HE help them out instead of sending code enforcement away??? IF all this is true, this family definitely needs help and should receive it from the city. IF he is a veteran he most certainly should receive some sort of veterans benefits - he deserves it.

yes he does but he is 95 years old and is in a nursing home it's stat smith's uncle glufling is their last name the daughter works for FFF so why doesn't he kick in some money curtis withers said the man is to old to rec'd any monies from the city of everett and how would they pay it back. and your not their neighboor I reported the racoons to the Animal Control and she doesn't do racoons so I will call boston tomorrow, I thought code enforcement would really help not hurt the situation the house needs to be torn down I am sure it's out of code inside but, politicians always get in the way. Like a post above they removed a woman on dean st. and they should remove replace these two woman also before a fire is started and my property goes up also,

well then stat smith should help his family if he is related to them a city loan is 20 years to pay back and at 95 year young how do they expect the owner to pay it back no one live forever, if there are two woman in their they should be put up at the prescott hotel until the house is fixed go by argle st and see houses there that need fixing up, I believe code enforcement is doing there job but like people are saying politics should stay out of it.

the fire lt. should of done is job and he didn't and neither did Nuzzo shame on them. But I am sure they live in nice homes too.

Hmmmm since this seems to be a relative of Stat Smith's, he should assist them for sure. If you can't help your family out, who can you help or be willing to help !!!! For sure he is not hurting financially (Prescott Hotel, state reps pay, school committe pay and probably more)...Seems strange his niece works for FFF but then again why not ??? I see no reason by FFF should contribute financially in this case...Somehow I feel this situation will resolve itself and soon now that it is out in the open...

I called Boston today like I was told to do by the aco, they are coming out this week to asset the situation. some people were their today taking pictures of the house and their back yard that looks like a zoo, hopefully we can get this issue resolved and I won't have to worry about a fire, cause you know it's going to happen, I am surprise it hasn't already

i've come to the conculsion they have no balls in this city, time to move out. people will do what they want to do with their property and politics will always have a part in it. Like a man told me today who works at city hall they were asked to cut the grass they did and nothing more

This is the home of an elderly man! He needs help, not a fine or threats to take his home away. How about you get some people to volunteer their time to get his house back in shape to your satisfaction.
People do not care about their neighbors anymore. It is truly sad.

You are right Jen, it is sad. Theres no sense in trying to tell these people though because all they care about is fabricating stories to fuel their agenda. I stopped by the mans house today and offered my services free of charge.
