I'm so afraid after the CT shooting
no locks

When my kid went to the Webster,
they had some classrooms without locks on the doors.

They would just "pretend" to lock them during lockdown drills.

I was told they finally did get locks for all rooms now.

My children attend the webster and its going down hill since this new lady is in charge. They just let anyone in the doors shes not following the rules nor enforcing them like we had last year , no parent nor teacher exiting the school is allowed to hold the door for next person to allow them into school last year we had to shut the door behind us have parent or whom ever is at door ring bell n sect. Will assist them . This new lady has to go at webster she makes these poor children sit outside in rain and cold while she stays inside all warm it was never like this last year she dont even come out in morning to quiet down line up and greet the children in the good morning students like mr arenalla did (excuess my spelling of his name). She needs to follow the rules and stop walking around like miss america with her there the school is unsafe and needs security something there to protect our children

I know, and I question how someone dressed in black in army gear with a mask on his face got in.

Aren't there cameras all around schools with side doors locked? Don't you have to be buzzed in? I don't understand this at all.

I hope all schools around the country have these precautions in place, and if not....learn from this sad tragedy.... because copy cats and more nuts are out there. They don't care if they die, they are lonely kids who think their names will go on forever. It's time to protect our own REGARDLESS of COSTS!!!!

I was just reading that the principal buzzed the shooter in. She recognized him as one of the teacher's sons. Sadly, the principal was shot as well. What a horrible story.

Really, who pays for it? Is this why I won win anything if I open my mouth saying I'll cut 25% of all taxes across the board?

Make no mistake, we spent an insane amount of money on school security already. This is not a time to spend more, but to ask why the money failed to protect lives.

That's not true. After yesteday, I thought it'd be nice to conceal carry (just for the hell of it and because it's my right) but I doubt I won't have to shed a few pounds of flesh for a permit.

All schools need metal detectors. Sad to say it's the way of the world today. NO COST is too much for children's lives. We KNOW there's weapons at the high school and these unfortunate situations always have copy cats. Gun control is going to take too long before another incident happens. It may not be a school, but it will happen.

Really? Let's just institute more security and disregard the Constitution because it's expedient. If that's the game then I say keep the kids at home because it's safe, cheap, and it solves the problem.

Let's rub the kids down and treat them like dirt. Don't forget to lock them up and condition them for later life in prisons. That's gonna raise perfect future Americans.

Another way is to unleash psychological warfare on them. That means if they bring a fork to school, promply detain and arrest everyone, include the parents. If they get confused, prescribe psychotropic drugs.

How about we ask why the insane money spent on security failed to protect lives and insist on 25% budget reduction?
I don't want for any head to roll because it's Christmas after all. DeMaria already gave me a Holiday Tree and that depresses everyone enough already.

I drive by there a lot and I don't see any pretty white women going oohh ahh on the Holiday Tree. Hell, hardly any pretty women at all. Before we spend money on secrulity let's have a Christmas Tree so we can have both, one for atheists and one for believers. Yes we are insane for believing on fairy tale as they say but we just want representation.

Sadly the shooter used 3 guns that his mother owned. He shot her and then went to the school. What's wrong with people?

i think we are going to end up with either an armed guard outside of each school or metal detectors. But even a metal detector wouldnt have stopped the guy that was in ct. no one let him in. he shot through the glass doors until he could walk thorough them. no one but an armed guard could have stopped him, and thats what i think every school needs.

Actually my daughter goes to the Webster and she has never once been left outside when it's raining or for that fact even in just the COLD, where as last year they were left to freeze!! And mrs Hanlon is at the back door every morning letting the kids in and lining them up and interacting with them!! She does not walk around like miss America she is a very down to earth woman who cares about those kids!! Obviously you have no idea what your talking about and by the looks of it you should be in school with those kids learning grammar and most of all RESPECT AND MANNERS!!!

The city of Everett needs to heighten awareness not say everything is fantastic and act like we live on Main Street USA at Disney World!!

They are making our security issue a political one and think people are stupid and don't know what's going on. The mayor and superintendent of schools need to be dump off in Bridgeport CT with NO MONEY and see if they can survive. That's how these gangs are surviving in Everett and we are living in their wrath!

Those two boneheads living in lala land need a reality check. We dont all live in the fortress like the mayor and the chateau like FFF.
