Another law abiding Everett Citizen.

It seemes that this gentleman is a suspect in several break and enterings in Everett and Malden. This Citizen also has a outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and went to court. Other charges are still under investigation.

You can read about this in the Leader Herald.

If you live in Everett you can read about it. As I wrote you can read about it in the Leader Herald that comes out on Thursday.

It seems that "no hope in everett" is the town crier. I read the story and it seems to me that this shows that the EPD and citizens of Everett did an outstanding job. A citizen saw a break in in progress, called the cops and the cops arrested this person. Kudos to Officer Gaff!
Seems there is Hope in Everett! A citizen got involved and the police did their job....
All this and it is warm outside....things are looking up!

In the arrest log in last week's Independent, they actually listed this person as being from Malden. I have heard thru the grapevine though that he was living in a halfway house here in Everett at the time of his arrest.

But the real question is don't people from other cities ever get arrested?

I guess some people have nothing better to do than sit at home reading the Everett Leader Herald. No need for us to read it because we find out all about the crime in Everett just by reading Topix!

THe paper also had articles about a NH man that the Everett police picked up on a warrant and another about the drug bust where of the four arrested, two were from somewhere else. Not all of the city's arrests come from Everett.

The Everett police are doing a great job in capturing these people I agree. As well I agree that not only citizens in Everett are commiting crime, it is everwhere.

I love reading the Everett Herald on Thursdays, because Everett is my city.

Mr. kung fu karate chop that's kicking down doors is getting a little antsy in jail. From Malden, committing crimes in Malden, then gets to live in a half way house in Everett? Why is he Everett's problem and I thought we were cracking down on this stuff, I've never seen it worse.

Does anyone know just where the attempted break-in occurred and when? We do not get the Leader-Herald, have not read it now in weeks.

If I'm thinking of the right guy that was arrested for the break-ins, he grew up and lived in Somerville for a long time. Just because someone lives in Everett doesn't mean they're "from" Everett.

Exactly....so what was he doing in an EVERETT half-way house? Why is he Everett's problem? I thought we were cracking down on this problem.

If a person is registerd in this city ,that makes them a resident and the person can vote here as well.

With city hall making all these funds from the halfway houses, section 8 vouchers and govermental programs, and city hall still is crying they need money by raising our taxes.

I know this is an old posting but I had to comment on this post, just because people have a section 8 voucher, or are in a halfway house doesn't mean they're a criminal. Some people just have it harder than others. Criminals are criminals no matter if they're rich or poor.

in the arrest reports i would like to see them add if they are illegal immigrant along with their crime would be nice to know how many are true residents or a drain on our police force

I definitely agree with you on this. Some of the most recent drug busts in the city, the people arrested have questionable immigration status. I'm not saying that illegal people are the only ones who do bad things but it's becoming a big issue in the city.

How about the one they chased from Chelsea the other night that hit the pizza guy. Even if someone asks I bet they would not tell you. The public has a right to know.
