Why were there three pieces of city equipment, a bobcat, front end loader and and city truck, clearing Bucci's Market Sunday afternoon? Meanwhile, the rest of us are out there busting our butts clearing on own homes and businesses. This is total misuse of our tax dollars.

I can understand why a business would want to be plowed out ASAP -- however, it is the business that should have a contract with a non-city interest to do the plowing !! Not on my dime thank you very much !!!
Probably one of the reasons many of us did not get plowed out in a timely manner !!!(and 'we' want to be a state rep ?? Nahh I don't think so !!!)

Doesn't matter - he he did know before hand or was informed as it was going on....businesses have contractors lined up for snow plowing early in the fall ..... they don't wait until the white stuff starts to come down...

Bucci's is closed on Sundays. So,
someone made a call to get that cleaned out. I would say it was the mayor throwing "little buddy" a bone since the mayor is backing Mangan in the Rep race.

Ohh interesting that the mayor is backing Mangan (though I'm not surprised)....Cross one more of the list of candidates....and since the city workers plowed out Bucci's (at taxpayers expense from what I have read here) one more candidate gone from our list. No city workers to help us when they should have been working for the taxpayer plowing the streets.....These candidates are doing all this on their own too, really funny....

I am really sick of our tax dollars being spent this way. If Bucci's want to get plowed then charge them. Here we have Sergio, who isn't a home owner, that doesn't pay taxes using our money to get his work place plowed. Nice. I guess we all need to start kissing the mayors ass and then our streets would have been cleared too.

Bucci's or any other private business in this city should NEVER be plowed by any city equipment. To this household, this was one of the deciding factors on who will get our vote in the primary. Really stupid move on their part to have city trucks clearing their property on our dime !!!!! while we struggled just to clear a path to get out of our house.

And don't get me started on one miserable one lane down the middle of the road that the plow trucks did - no excuses, no cars on our street - that was their chance to do at least a lane and a half wide - and before people cleared their driveways.

Did anyone really call city hall and get any answers to justify this practice of a single path down the middle of the street ??

And I don't want to hear about other cities and how they were or were not plowed - I don't pay taxes there - but I do pay high taxes in Everett...

The contractors that the city use all have small plows and when they go down the street they keep making the same path, rather than going down another part of the street to make it wider. The city hires guys with pickup trucks that have plows on the front. Rather than spending money on large plows like other cities have, they'd rather use contractors for some reason. If we do have large plows they definitely don't us them to do the side streets.

We appropriated a lot of money on new equipment and my 2 way got pickup trucks with friends of the mayor making big bucks doing a sh itty job. Where were those pieces of big equipment? Oh wait, they were at bucci's. thanks
Mayor for neglecting us for your friends that we paid for. Jerk

They'll have the big plows, tractors and backhoes doing the schools and the city buildings but not the streets.

The Everett Housing Authority always plows their building on Ferry Street...unfortunately it is plowed onto the sidewalk across the street...leaving the residents to not have a sidewalk....
