Sloppy cops. Sloppy work. Slop everywhere. People only find this acceptable because it hasn't happened to them yet. I'd be damned if some sloppy pigs flashbanged my home containing my little sisters. I'm not sure how a grenade would affect a one year old, but it's probably something those cops would be ok with doing.

This is the kind of stuff that juries love handing out huge judgements over, the only way they could have botched it anymore was to shoot the family pets.
If these people do file suit it may very well be the cops who end up getting bitch slapped, to say nothing of being a liability to tax payers.

A warrant isnt carte blanch to do as they please and it certainly isn't an excuse for excessive force or sloppy police work.

Ok lets go bust up your house. Don't worry we'll pay you back for it in like 6 months. No big deal. Let's throw in some flashbangs becuase it's personal. Tell you what, I'll step on your dog's head while I'm at it. Maybe I'll make a facebok post about how you pissed your pants when the first bang happened. Lets just point a fully automatic weapon in your face to make you fear guns for the rest of your life. The city should be sued for millions and I would get the f out of that town and let them deal with the rubble. Let us see what happens to your trailer when flashes are thrown in there. Might blow a cinder block from under your dining room table. Eating on an unbalanced table is a pain in the butt.

If a police academy student scores too high on the entrance exam, they will not be allowed to continue. This is a systemic problem with all law enforcement. Had these "professionals" used more critical thinking they may not have acted so hastily. It is fortunate that these pigs were able to control their trigger fingers and not shoot everyone and the dog.

Cop killer, better you than me
Cop killer, f* police brutality
Cop killer, I know your mommas grieving (F* her)
Cop killer, but tonight we get even, yeah
Die, die, die pig, die

So, the cops made a mistake and presented the judge with inaccurate information to obtain the warrant. This shows that the police were, in this instance, incompetent in there investigation and swore out a warrant based on false information resulting a SWAT entry. The old lady is getting her stuff fixed and that is great. The city is also going to be paying out a nice law suit to the homeowner and anyone else in the home. A SWAT entry was not necessary as evidenced by the team not using explosive entry on the correct home. It's going to suck to live in that city when all is said and done as th police budget as well as th budget for the whole city is going to be effected by the cost to pay off the lawsuit coming there way. How did you put it? Oh, ya. LOL.

Judges sign off on the warrants and from the evidence gathered it was reasonable. I fail to see your point.
Exactly how is this reasonable? As explosive entry based on an IP address that can easly be spoffed and was in this case the wrong person is reasonable? Way was it reasonable to flash bang the old lady and not the home of the real suspect? All this based on a threat on the Internet. I do not think they would have done so if it was a threat made to a civi.

They are pigs. It is true that pigs are smarter than dogs, but not as smart as dolphins. Can we fault them for not being smart enough to protect the innocent or constitutional rights?

I have created a haiku to express this scientific fact:

They are just some pigs
Not as smart as the dolphin
Yet smarter than dogs

And the media tries to blame it on the homeowners for not SECURING their internet connection.....I don't know which is worse, the act itself or the disgusting attempt by the media to blame the poor people who got the hell scared out of the them. According to the police though, the moral of the story is we don't give a damn about your free speech, piss us off and you'll be next.

What a sick police state this country has turned into. We give up our freedoms to be protected by terrorism.....it's all a charade and the average American isn't even smart enough to realize what road we are going down and what the end result will be. Makes my stomach turn

what they did was use deadly force and flash bang grenades still have a harmful effect to anyone that gets one near them that family is going to get paid lovely for any injuries resulting from the grenades right off the bat and then some for the raid and damage on top of that good luck evansville you just got the worlds biggest "DumbAss" trophie of the year and only one trophie no other state/city police will top your score now.

First of all, I'm not in a trailer. My house is actually pretty nice. On the north side of town. But that really doesn't matter.

It seems that every time something goes wrong with police it's blasted on media sites and newspaper articles. But when something good happens nothing is said because its their job! Maybe the reason some officers seem distant, is because they try to serve and protect a community that sets them up fail. It's sad that regardless of what is said on here, he/she will still go out there and do the job to the best of his/her ability. I pray for them. Nobody is perfect. And I'm sure plenty of the non-spelling, critical, immature people on here have done things wrong. But there is not a media outlet waiting at your home, or workplace to showcase your faults. They made a mistake. And the whole police department has to pay for it.

If people were as passionate about job loss, and our terrible economy as much as little bitty Evansville's police blunders, one could only imagine what could possibly happen. But seems like calling out people for having STD's, and how much you hate the police are more important topics. Don't worry when our economy is the equivalent of a third world country, you will not have to worry about police, because there will be none! Wake up!

Typical cops. They invite a reporter and cameraman to show off what bad mofos they are, make a huge dramatic and unnessarary raid and it's the wrong house. If there had been dogs in the house they would have been shot. If you live within 25 miles of the Canadian border as I do, they have every right to do this WITHOUT a warrent. No Knock Warrents. I was hoing President Obama would curb the worst excesses from the disaster Bush left, but sadly no. We need police, but we don't need these rouge cowboys who also happen to target POC. Welcome to Amerika.

Did you not see how the police reacted to the Occupy Wall Street movement? With rare exception, they were against it! We did protest against the economic injustice in this country and the enforcers for the 1% struck back. I don't get it, because they are in the same economic boat as Occupy proteters. Hell, they arrested a retired Philly police captian for joining with the protesters! Yeah, we need peace officers, but we don't need these jack up John Wayne jerk offs who regard us as the enemy!
