Aztar has had many lawsuits from customers as well as employees. I wonder what the outcomes were. I can't find much info on anything.

There's a reason why you can't find anything; they are very good at burying those types of things. If you were there and you mention there name in any media form, good or bad, they can and most likely will terminate you.

I agree. I doubt this place will last long enough to hit their 20th anniversary. The only "renovation" this place has had recently is that the carpet is the same throughout the boat and addition of new games here and there. The place is dated as well as the mullet, jheri curl, acid jean wearing people who come here.
You forgot all the homeless and the old people who gambled all their retirement money away.

Well, it's gotten worse already. Surveillance is cracking down on employees and doing so HARD. Even off the clock, we can't even sit anywhere because it's considered loitering. I wait for a ride and I was told that I can't sit where I've been sitting for months. I have to either wait outside where it's freezing or in one of the break rooms. I feel like I'm in prison and just out on a day pass when I clock out.

That's ridiculous. Just as long as you're not seen on the boat, it shouldn't matter.

If Kentucky passes gaming, its all over for aztar. They will no longer be able to stay above water. Ha!
Well technically sinking would be rather hard. Not only do they have steal cables securing the boat, i mean bardge to the dolphins, there are also soft lines, of course those could always give. Chances of that, and the boat loosing buoyancy are slim to none. Not to mention that the water level, in general is low. Especially where the barge sits. Most likely(unless we have alot of rain at the time) if the boat was to sink, only about half of the first level would be underwater as they would be sitting in the mud...Just thought id throw that out there, and yes i get what you was saying...

on another note, i just quit the casino, the place sucks, alot of the people suck, managment sucks and the same trashy people go everyday and spend their life away.

I would say where I work but people already know about this thread at Aztar and I've already been asked if I said thing here. I'm afraid of someone trying to retaliate. Let's just say I work in a place where I could be in the pavilion or the boat.

Ooohhhweee. Miss Cleo used to take her crystal balls to the boat but the security thugs didn't like that too much. I would consult my balls before betting and those thugs threw me and my balls to the curb. That's okay though, Miss Cleo left a little brown present in the bathroom sink. :)

What does aztar pay and what benefits you get? There is no way anyone in management that knows anything thinks that bucket of bolts will be here in a few years. That junky boat pulls over 10 million dollars a month out of the local economy, whoever thought bringing it here was a good idea is a total fool.

Well that's gonna put you in one of three depts. Environment services, the Trop advantage center, or a deckhand. Its good to know that management is aware that sh**hole is being discussed on this site. It's hilarious that they're already trying to find someone to punish over it. That's what they do though. Live like we want you to, at work or not, or we'll fire you! They're sad, its time they realized they need this city a lot more than this city needs them. Kentucky casinos will make them learn that real fast. Hey Karen, Dirk, Mike, Mike.

Can't control this casino Hitler. Unless they say so, they'll never figure out who works there and who doesn't. I could be a slot shift manager, a porter, one of the captains, or Ward Shaw himself. He's the CEO of this property, for anyone who wasn't aware. There will probably be a memo come out trying to threaten employees to stop posting on here, because they can find out who you are. They can't, and remind them of a little thing called the freedom of speech. You did not sign a contract to work there, they don't own you. You did not forego your human rights as an American to work at their communist casino.

what's sad is that you people are on here complaining and I bet go to work with shitty attitudes and you don't try and change a Damn thing. Ever think if the employee's not just HR changed their attitudes it wouldn't be such a shit whole. Take a little ownership. And they can find out who's posting don't be stupid.

Then let them try and find out human resources. Actually the employer should take the burden of raising employee moral, but just like everything else, they'd rather blame the employees than try and actually make something better themselves. Besides the lumps in human resources have the worst attitudes anyway.
