You are out of your mind. Alcohol and tobacco are addictive and deadly. |

If you only had the same level of concern for your spelling. Spend more time educating yourself in general. You come off as an idiot. |

Just another cases of head up A.. syndrome.MJ is by and far less addictive or harmful than cigs.or alcohol.The govt.has always tried to force upon the harm it can do,only because they have never found a good way to tax it.I would much rather share the roat with someone who had just smoked a joint than someone who has been drinking.I have smoked the evil weed for more than 40 yr.and haver suffered from a hangover or ill after effects the next day like booze creates. |

Look man,if it was legal the whole country would not have cancer. It is about choice. If you choose to have a cig that is your choice, the same with beer and liquor. My dad got cancer and never smoked or drank and was not around secondhand SMOKE. EXPLAIN THAT EINSTEIN. I have never smoked the blunt but have seen pot heads and those on booze. I'll take the pot head any day,Yankee. |

My father also has cancer and he has never drank or smoked at all in his life. Also my grandmother and two uncles. However while fighting the cancer they all had a big problem kicking the heavy pain meds. My father was heaving and shaking like a smack addict for about a week because of those meds. If pot were available maybe he would have used that instead.

You're from Mooresville ? More of what ?

Well for one thing you just proved how stupid you are by not being able to spell a forth of the words in your post. And number two marijuana is not as dangerous as you say it is. It does not lead people to other drugs unless they want it too. I've smoked it for over 25 years now and I have no desire to do any other drug that you mentioned. Get you facts straight before opening your mouth and showing the world how stupid you really are. |
||||
What a STUPID comment. In case you haven't heard---pot has been found to be a "gateway drug". IF you do it, you won't stop there. Check the American Psychiatric website. You might learn something----or not. |
||||
OK, Mr. Expert. I think you have been smoking it tooooooo long. By the way 4th, as you were using it, is spelled...FOURTH. |

Waisting thier time? Several felonies isnt a waist of tax payer money. Besides I am not even sure you are a tax payer, did you pay taxs on the last joint you smoked?

uh, no it hasn't, in fact, the opposite is true: "there is no proof that a causal relationship exists between cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana and other drugs. Basic scientific and clinical research establishing causality does not exist. " Merrill, J.C. & Fox, K.S., Cigarettes, Alcohol, Marijuana: Gateways to Illicit Drug Use, Introduction (New York, NY: National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, October 1994). "There is no conclusive evidence that the drug effects of marijuana are causally linked to the subsequent abuse of other illicit drugs." "The Institute of Medicine's 1999 report explained that marijuana has been mistaken for a gateway drug in the past because "Patterns in progression of drug use from adolescence to adulthood are strikingly regular. Because it is the most widely used illicit drug, marijuana is predictably the first illicit drug most people encounter. Not surprisingly, most users of other illicit drugs have used marijuana first. In fact, most drug users begin with alcohol and nicotine before marijuana -- usually before they are of legal age." Janet E. Joy, Stanley J. Watson, Jr., and John A Benson, Jr. Division of Neuroscience and Behavioral Research, Institute of Medicine, Marijuana and Medicine: Assessing the Science Base (Washington, DC: National Academy Press, 1999). http://www.upmc.com/Communications/NewsBureau ... "Marijuana is not a “gateway” drug that predicts or eventually leads to substance abuse, suggests a 12-year University of Pittsburgh study. Moreover, the study’s findings call into question the long-held belief that has shaped prevention efforts and governmental policy for six decades and caused many a parent to panic upon discovering a bag of pot in their child’s bedroom. Nearly a quarter of the study population who used both legal and illegal drugs at some point – 28 boys – exhibited the reverse pattern of using marijuana prior to alcohol or tobacco, and those individuals were no more likely to develop a substance use disorder than those who followed the traditional succession of alcohol and tobacco before illegal drugs, according to the study, which appears in this month’s issue of the American Journal of Psychiatry." dude Mackesy-Amiti ME. Fendrich M. Goldstein PJ. Department of Psychiatry, University of Illinois at Chicago, IL 60612, USA. "Sequence of drug use among serious drug users: typical vs atypical progression." Drug & Alcohol Dependence. 45(3):185-96, 1997 May 2. "Sequence of drug use was examined in a secondary analysis of two samples of serious drug users: one of 152 men and one of 133 women. The proportions of drug users following specified patterns of drug use onset were compared to proportions obtained in previous research in samples of high school youth, and serious drug users. The serious drug users were substantially different from high school samples in their progression of drug use. The serious drug users were less likely to follow the typical sequence identified in previous studies (alcohol, then marijuana, followed by other illicit drugs). They were more likely to have used marijuana before using alcohol, and more likely to have used other illicit drugs before using marijuana. We also found that atypical sequencing was associated with earlier initiation of the use of illicit drugs other than marijuana and greater lifetime drug involvement. These findings suggest that for a large number of serious drug users, marijuana does not play the role of a 'gateway drug'. We conclude that prevention efforts which focus on alcohol and marijuana may be of limited effectiveness for youth who are at risk for serious drug abuse." |

Give it up, scientific research means nothing in this state. The "intelligent design" popularity here and the thinking that it is appropriate in science class is an example.
They would rather listen to a used car salesman turned politician than believe a PhD.

all the more reason to beat them over the head with the FACTS. |

So they found a grow operation.Its always easy to roll on some local individual rather than go after slaughterhouse operations like the Cali cartel.
Remember how Jimmy Swaggart used to get on his soapbox about porn? Ironic how crusaders seem to always be struggling with the very actions that they indulge in. Legalize Marijuana.People who huff-n-puff the same speeches inspired by Harry Asslinger & the DuPont family need to realize the reason why marijuana is illegal has NOTHING to do with health related issues.The very means the federal government used to keep marijuana out of consumers hands was by a deceptive tax measure.The anti hemp crusaders (DuPont & their rent-a-cop Harry Asslinger)had their investment sights on synthetic products replacing natural hemp. Instead of hassling the working class for enjoying a buzz,lets see these crusaders go after the very profiteers who perpetuate illegal measures to line their own pockets-the very people they work for. Like thats going to happen. |
