Out of all of the comments, the general opinion seems to be one of apathy towards the personal use and or growing of the plant. It leads one to question, if the overwhelming population is apathetic to the idea of pot use, why is it still illegal? The answer seems quite obvious to those that do not blindly follow the will of the government. Pot is NOT a gateway drug and has more benefits than harms, unless you call downing the Sams club box of hohos in a day a serious harm. THE PEOPLE need to stand up and fight against the persecution of non violent criminals and over taxation

Get real. The father of our country (George Washington) was a hemp farmer, as was Thomas Jefferson. Did you just watch "Reefer Madness"? Are you serious? What rock have you been living under? The only thing evil about it is the tar you get in your lungs from smoking it. You get that and a lot more from cigarettes. And I agree, alcohol destroys lives, not marijuana!

Yes, you have to love the "reefer" madness in that article. Now read the title and then read the content. The title suggests a fact the content completely refutes. It would be funny if news pieces like this were not supporting drug policies that destroy millions of people's lives world wide every year instead its just sick and sad.

The study comes a far way from being anything more then propaganda. One collation does not imply cause. Two they have never done the study to see if people doing other drugs develop mental illness. Three have not done a study to see if maybe people with mental illness seek out drugs. Its like saying more people that go to a "Shrink" develop mental illness so going to a Shrink causes mental illness. See how stupid that sounds?

Truth is there is a lot of propaganda out there always trying to muddy the facts because everyone can clearly see that the governments position on Marijuana is wrong.
