No douche , they did raise the price. I was there black Friday for the grand opening and it was 4 bucks even for a 16 oz, I went Thr last week for lunch and ordered a 16 oz and gave em a 5 n the bartender gave me 50 cents back. I asked why he didn't give me a dollar back and he said they raised the price to 4.17 so it would be 4.50 after tax. So get ur facts straight bfor u start calling ppl out. Either way I think id rather just go right across the street to lamasco n get a pitcher of coors for 6 bucks
Get my facts straight? I work there duh! I know what I'm talking about miss know it all! If you rather have coors light then why did you go to a brewery!!! It's Craft beer! I guess people on topix is really ignorant!

How hard is it to keep hot food In a steam table & slop it on a plate? Not very! Plus the African American girl at register was super buzz kill!
Their is two African American girls one is tall and skinny and the other is short and far. The tall one has a beautiful smile and super friendly.

Atmosphere, old building, and beer was great. That's why I'll give 2 stars instead of 1. Don't go if you are hungry since the only choice for food is BBQ which would be fine if 1) you are a BBQ fan which I am and 2) the BBQ is decent - which it is NOT. I can only speak for the brisket which tasted like pot roast and the sauce (which could have made it tolerable) was unpleasant. Slaw and beans were worse than if you would have picked them up in Wal-Mart's deli and the bread (which is supposed to be gourmet )was tasteless. Even worse than the food was the service. I could have delt with standing in line to get everything that is needed to eat and drink IF only "waitress" were not milling around trying to look busy. What in the hell are waitresses there for if not to bring you a glass of water if you need one or get the damn check? I had to stand in line for 15 minutes just to get my credit card back from the bar. When I hear they have added something besides nasty BBQ to the menu AND added people who will assist diners, I might try TinMan again.

Once again they don't have servers. They are only their to bring your food out! You people on Evansville act like you are so high maintenance and you can't do stuff on your own. They have BBQ places like this in St. Louis Chicago Tennessee etc! You want a made go hire one stop the complaining and bitching!

Yea overpriced craft beer. Food sucks too. I guarantee more ppl will drink coors simply cuz it is cheaper. Very rarely do u see a beer connoseuir in evanville anyways. But all in all if I want a craft beer ill goto gerst haus or old Chicago. Topix is not ignorant, everyone on here is valued and open to there own opinions. Sorry that ur job won't last for more than yrs

Beer was tasteless and not to style and you don't have to be a "connoisseur" to know that. Tin Man says they want to educate us in Eville about beer styles and craft beers and then serve that bile and call it a pilsner. The same could be said for the stout. The IPA was more along the lines of a pale ale. Leave the mediocre "craft" beer to the megacorps that are trying to get in on the trend. At least those beers aren't flat. And they need to know that "session beers" are not supposed to be watery and boring.

I am willing to pay for good craft beer, but as it is now all of Tin Man's beers are very overpriced. They need to go back to the drawing board. Luckily, Eville is getting another craft brewer this year. I've sampled their beer and it is something that Eville will be able to be proud of.

Haven't heard anything good about the place yet... Interested to see how long they can stay in business. Supposedly the guys parents had won the lottery and have/are dumping money in it.

I go to Tin Man once a week for their trivia night. The trivia is the only thing likeable, and after tonight, I'm not even sure about that. Our team won a 25$ gift card a few weeks ago which we saved to use tonight. We asked for our check at quarter 'till 9, and waited until 9:30 until I decided to walk downstairs and see what the issue was (considering we hadn't seen out waiter for 45 minutes). The entire staff was gathered around the till trying to figure out whatever was wrong. People were crowded around the bar waiting for service, being totally ignored (not to mention, I was also ignored for about 5 minutes, so I returned back to my group upstairs). Fifteen minutes later, our waiter appears to tell us there is a problem with their system and it won't accept the gift card, but assured us that it "isn't my fault though"! With no resolution, he just walked away. After at least an hour had passed, we walked downstairs as a group and asked what was going on... A manager of sorts told us that she would "comp us" for 4 drinks we wanted to put on the gift card. Our gift card was for 25$ and our tab was a few cents over 20$... So when we asked for the gift card back she acted very put-off anf literally said "Fine. You can keep it."

Like I said; I am a regular here and I really want to see local businesses work. I plan on returning for next trivia night, but I doubt that ANYONE would be as forgiving as our group was tonight for such awful customer service. I understand that everyone has bad nights and things go wrong. I really do; however, this is only the most recent example of bad service here. The past two weeks, we ordered beers, never got them, then were charged, and three weeks (including the two weeks just mentioned) it took over 20 minutes for us to get our first round of drinks.

My point in saying anything is this: it really saddens me that such a cool possibility is going to totally fail because of terrible service. Management really needs to grasp this problem and oil up their creaks, or the Tin Man will be Evansville's next rusty building of a failed business.

I had high hopes for this place but it continues to be a disappointment to most customers.

The employees are destined for unemployment within 90 days.

It amazes me what you people will post on here without having all the facts or the full story. The band was NOT shorted and was paid the agreed upon price. I have seen the proof. Secondly, the manager you're talking about isn't a bitch at all, is amazing at her job, and is very professional. She deserves respect and doesn't deserve sh*t talking from you or anyone. In fact, all the management there works hard and does a fine job. The complaints on here are petty. They prove they listen to customers. Many changes that have been recommended by fellow customers have been made over the past month or two. I go there quite often and applaud the improvements. Their employees will not be out of jobs in 90 days.

hey dumbass I was there when they got the check! so yes they were shorted $200. now unless they made it up to them later I don't know but that night they only got paid $300. unless they start serving normal beer and alchohol they will never make it. there are not enough people in this town that like what they serve to keep them open. I really hope they do make a change so they can stay open. on another note I have heard from several different people that have dealt with that particular manager that she is indeed a bitch! and some were even employees.

Got to know your market. Only chain restaurants with frozen bag deep fried food can make it. Tin man will be out of business before 2015, possibly sooner if they realize their mistake and cut their losses.

Beer is great. Food is good. But set up was horrible in beginning. They needed servers coming to tables. I've heard this has now changed. However, I will say that the service and staff has been shoddy everytime I've been there. Act like they don't give a crap and honestly look like they just got out of jail or something. Don't think that is gonna fly since the place is set up more for a maturer crowd based on prices and atmosphere and what their serving. This isn't some dive or college bar. Therefore they need to step up the service to meet the clientele there place is aimed at. Furthermore, get some more TVs in the place to watch games.

They also own the cafe /art gallery. They are trying to mimic commonwealth kitchen in henderson and make gastro pub food. Why does everyone have to try to be so gourmet. Just make some good food that goes hand in hand with beer and get over yourself. Don't just have your beer heck get some upland in there. That is an Indiana Beer. You have a lot to learn but hopefully can work out the kinks before its to late.

Has the beer improved yet? Quit concentrating on the food and make a non buttery pilsner, a stout that is stout, and an IPA that isn't just a thin pale ale. At least we don't have to wait any longer for Carson's!
