Logical Thinking

Sex offenders can be people that had sexual relation with someone when they were 18, while that person was 15. Still doesn't make it right or justified, but even at 18 young men or woman do not think maybe as clearly as a young adult. Not every sex offender is a bad person or a pervert, granted this is no defense for every person charged. I do believe there are exceptions, people should be given a second chance when their situation is explained. I think people struggle to realize how hard it is to staff a business. Especially one that is arguably the busiest restaurant in the Midwest.

You want someone who molests children to prepare your food?? Because I def do not. You can eat there all you want, myself i will continue to not patronize places that hire people who abuse children.
You are completely ignorant about the restaurant business. Any restaurant you eat at there is either going to be a sex offender in the building, or a latino that has killed, sold drugs, or came across the border illegally. Stay in your house, and don't eat out.

You are completely wrong. There are no sex offenders are almost all nice, sit-down family restaurants. Go ahead find me another example or stfu cuz you're wrong and stupid. And if you take the time to look up the guy he is talking about you would see he is convicted of child molesting. That means it wasn't a 19 year old and a 15 year old you fools. It means he raped a small child. You people that spout nonsense defending him or the place that hires him are as evil as he is.

I've been a restaurant manager in the Evansville area for about 15 years. I know for a fact that several places have offenders/molesters employed there. If you eat out, a child molester has made your food before. If you don't believe that, you're stupid and wrong. *Not condoning sex crimes or criminals, but they are all over the place. And I agree with many others here: they have to work somewhere. Watch your kids, shut up, and eat.

You can get drunk and piss outside and have to register as a sex offender. Not all sex offenders are child molesters you morons. Go back to the hen house please.

i dont care how they make their living, as long as it is away from the masses. they have proven they cannot be trusted, hence the "stigma".. they shouldnt be allowed anywhere children "may be".. why should i feel saddened for someone that defiles an innocent child? they are deviant predators and should be dealt with accordingly.. if you keep them away from the population of children then their chances of committing these attrocious acts drops to 0%.. i am speaking directly about child molesters specifically.

Yeah the fact that most of this thread consists of people rationalizing child molesting is sad. They really shouldn't be allowed to work in places children go like family restaurants. This is a sad town where everyone is ok with that. I've lived in other cities and people do not defend child molesters rights there. They should be incarcerated for life or executed period. And people that defend them are trash, plain and simple.

Who rationalized child molesting? Here are the facts: 1) Child molesting is a horrible crime with life-long damage to the victim. 2) Molesting is not, nor will it ever be, a capital offense. 3) Most offenders will not serve a life sentence. 4) The thought of homeless, unemployed molesters roaming the streets makes me considerably more uneasy than the thought of a molester baking a potato. 5) The only real possibility of a child being attacked in a restaurant would be in a bathroom. That risk would not only come from employees, but other customers. I would think most parents would not send a child too young to prevent such an attack to a public restroom without supervision.
Summary: Child abuse is unforgiveable. However, the vast majority will be reintroduced to society...whether you like it or not. A child at a restaurant that employs such a person is not placed in any danger as long as parents use the common sense they would use at any other public place. I would worry about my childs safety in Boy Scouts or church before a restaurant.
