As someone that likes to drop a few bucks in the video games that all the bars are putting in, I thought that the latest monthly reports shed some light on how poorly they pay out. In the May 27th BND, they ran an article that reported the average payout from 484 Belleville area machines was 91.8% for the month of April. That seemed like a fairly decent payout. When I looked at the recent May payouts for some of the local establishments, I was surprised at how much tighter their machines are set. From lowest to highest, Mueth's in Smithton at 68.9%, NoJacks in Smithton at 75.3%, Sporto's in Red Bud at 76.6%, Lisa's in Rocher at 79.2% and the best at Ruma Mill at 79.2%. How did these local bars get their payout percentages so low? Next month I'll follow up with June's numbers. If the payouts don't get better, everyone should keep their money in their respective wallets or purses.
Seriously

Listen Sherlock, those machines are there to make the bar and the state money........Not you! Since Illinois is broke, I imagine all of the games will be tight wherever you go.

A good friend of mine won $500 at Lisa's. I'm sure he dropped a few bucks in the process, but that's what he likes to do. The house will always be the ultimate winner. No one forces anyone to gamble.
As I see it
