I was recently at the winery and needless to say left very disappointed. Seems the food has gone downhill!!!! How can you mess up pizza, but it was terrible. Not sure why jimmy isn't cooking there anymore but it definitely shows. We used to frequent the winery once a week or more but will be finding a new " favorite" place.

Yes I agree with you very disappointed. My wife and I frequent the winery often and we have both seen a change in the food. Matt is never around either, which will only get worse when his twins are born. We attended a few functions when Jimmy and Stelly did the cooking and it was fantastic. Not sure why he doesn't expand more menu items and get them to cook instead of catering in Bully's and different out of town services. Won't be going there for awhile.

Most of the people that i know that frequent the winery would know that even though he may be preoccupied at the moment, matt.would appreciate someone mentioning their experience with him so he can tend to it as opposed to bashing the place on the internet. Simply explain the food has been inconsistent or disappointing and im sure his concentration will focus tofix the problem. The winery is a good draw for red bud, dont crush it with internet searches showing this crap without an honest complaint to management.

To the one who calls themselves WHAT. If you have to bash everyone who post a comment on how they feel about a person or business its called freedom of speech or expression. That is your constitutional right. If someone doesn't like a businesses food or they think someone is acting like a slut its their right to express it. If you don't like stay the FUCK off topic.

the constitutional right for freedom of speech does exist.

as does the capacity to be a spineless critic who hides behind an electronic curtain.

how about a new policy-any critical comments require the author's name and phone number here.

If that is how you feel then why are you not putting your real name out there backside.

The winery never was set up to be a restaurant. If Matt would decide to do that, his work would be cut out for him. As it is, you can buy food to get you through your visit, or if a larger group you can have it catered. If you are looking for a 4-star, 4-course meal, you need to go further than Red Bud.

so youre the nutjob carrying on like a dangerous lunatic every day about the woman who has never said a single word in her own defense? I would love to meet you in person, to see if you have the nads you do online. Whether youre a screwed up little girl or a has been roided out prick, there is a way to deal with you, and im someone who knows what it is. If you seriously think the best way to complain about bad service ONE time is to slam a place online, youre an imbecile who deserves to be banned from EVERYwhere. If youre the nutjob posting about the woman, you seriously need locked up to awwait a competency hearing. No matter what, your opinions, and your attempt to order me around, mean zero to me, youre just a bitch on the web.

If you serve food to the capacity that the winery does, you are considered a restaurant. I agree that the food has not been up to par lately as well. For whatever reason things just are not the same. Things need to get back to where they were. He is sitting on a gold mine if he would just take it to the next level.

Having worked in the restaurant business, I can assure you that the winery does not qualify as one. Catering doesn't count, so without that included what they offer falls into the category of "heavy horsd'oeuvres". Although that works for them, it is still limited. For the selection to be limited, it should be very good, and that is where the problem lies. Their offerings are not what they should be. Since I'm generally there to socialize and drink, that's not a big deal to me, but friends of mine that do order food are less than thrilled. Hope to see things improve for their long-term business.

I too believe the food and service has gone downhill. We even gave it a second chance after having a bad meal there about a month ago and it was still not good. Not sure what is going on there but hope it gets better. It's a real shame because it could be a great place!

Was there last week and I too believe it has gone down hill. Haven't been for a few months and I was disappointed to say the least. What gives?

Either they've begun to charge sales tax on each individual drank or they have some really strange drink prices.

1 Specialty beer -$5.65
1 Glass on wine -$4.71
1 Domestic beer -$2.59
and then $0.81 in overall sales tax.

STRANGE.

I heard a couple comments by people leaving about the pricing as well.

The winery may not be as cheap as other places, but if you believe they are too expensive, you don't get out much. Head north to St Louis and have a few glasses of wine. You'll be glad to get back to Red Bud.

Have a few glasses of wine, and EAT in stl, and you will never want to eat in an overpriced halfass red bud restaurant again.

Please don't head Northwest to St. Louis. Just stay in Red Bud where you belong. We're happy with our Hispanics and black neighbors when we go out. No need for you close minded hillbillies to cross the river.

If you're from Columbia, you have no blacks and the only Hispanics are at Tequila's. it would make you an expert on half-assed establishments, so you stay put and enjoy them.

I live in the city, and can tell you that I will take the high prices at Lau Nae anyday over the chaos caused by minorities in St. Louis. In Red Bud, I have never seen "in-bred" toddlers playing in the streets in the middle of the night, seen a 20 year old kid across from my home have his brains blown out, trash all over the place, screaming and yelling all the time, in fear of getting beat up by teen agers, being called names just passing by, always wary of getting my house or car stolen, seeing little kids beat each other up,---AD NAUSEUM. So Stay Put, you can spew your disingenous lies about how great it is in the city, but I have over 20 years of experience in this crap hole, and will take RB over it any day.
