I need some advice. I know I need help, I'm severly depressed. I'm going nuts, I've separated myself from my family and friends. I don't want to do anything but cry. I'm mad all the time. I need help but what kind of help? I've even had suicidal thoughts. I'm scared and sad...what will help me??!!

If this is serious , then overlook what LMAO said. There is help out there. Go to your doctor and talkto him/her about your depression. Also, contact some help online. You will be able to find agencies/phone numbers online for people who wiill help you. I cannot say anything about the family issue, but make no mistake there are people out there willing to listen and help in anyway possible. My prayers are with you.

it is serious. and thank you. what I meant by family was, I just can't be around anybody anymore so I stay alone. I actually feel like my family and friends don't care anymore. I'm young, very young. I feel like nobody my age is going through this

There's a lot of young people going through stuff like this. Do you get any exercise? Do you work? Do you have a hobby? When I was young I belonged to s gym & worked out 3 times a week. I worked & kept a clean house so I was busy. I think a lot of young people have too much time on their mind....nothing to occupy themselves with so they start thinking bad thoughts.
This might not be you at all but if it is get moving & sweat a little.
Put good thoughts in your head.
May God bless you with inner peace.

You need to seek help, if this is a serious post that is. Counselors are a dime a dozen, and reasonably priced. If you are under the age of 23 then the problem is that these suicidal thoughts may grow more intense and given that immature age range you are more likely to go through with them due to irrational tendencies of the age in question. Just please seek professional help before its to late.

Dear Help. Give a little bit more info. Are you currently on any meds? What has brought this on? I sincerely believe that you are wanting some advice. I would hate to think that anyone would come on here and post this thread for "fun".

You are not alone I am 25 years old but have went through this when I was younger... You have to try to make yourself happy and get your mind off of bad stuff..I have anxiety attacks and that's what it sounds like you have but the key is to not let anything get you down and stay positive

I will pray for you. Prayer will help .Sometimes the results are not immediate. Everyone faces times that are dark. Please do not commit suicide. We are not supposed to be the ones to determine our days on this earth. You have friends and family that love you but you are going to have to let them help you. Also sometimes you need medication for depression. Just look at old photos think of the good times you have had and u hang on to those to help you through. When you push others away you hurt them probably as much as your hurting so give them a chance to help you. Just remember each day is a new day hang in there. Just reach out to who you are comfortable with and I guarantee you will fell better. You dont deserve to let yourself feel this way. People love you.

thank you all so much. I'm surprised this many people even replied to my post...I've been through more than anyone my age should ever have to go through. I tried some meds about a year ago and they did nothing. I'm not on any meds now..I know there is help, but who? and how do I get it. I am 22. I'm scared honestly, this has all just progressively gotten worse over the past 6 months. anxiety attacks, I have complete mental breakdowns often. I do work, but this issue has effected all of my jobs in the past. I'm just a huge mess...

I would suggest checking for counseling sometimes it helps when you get to talk to someone who is removed from the situation. Unfortunately there are people who go through more than others. Know that people care and people can support you emotionally if you will let them. If it is an expense to get counseling check out the local agencies that offer help such as Cherokee health systems .

Even if currently you feel you are a huge mess u are never that much of a mess that it cant be fixed. That is where God can help as well as counseling and sometimes you think that medicine may not be helping your depression but you may not have given it enough time. All this you will have to do. Others can only do what you let them do. You will be in my prayers and i hope you get better soon help.

you have to get on medication. Your brain changes as you get older. The happy moments are not as common because of changes in your chemistry.
Try a depressant that helps with sleep. Some
instances are Citolapram.
There are different kinds. This also helps with your temper.
It is not you personally, it is changes in your brain. As soon as you realize it, the better you will be. It's also good to talk to a doctor about it. It may have not have helped in the past, but you may not have had the right dosages. It takes time, but some medicines work within three days.
Also, you need to get a hobby or start working out. Do stuff that gives you happiness and set future goals. Go back to college, or get your GED or whatever. Start eating better. Pick out a book to read or become obsessed with watching movies.
You can do it. But, don't crawl up in a hole.
The sun is going to start shining more outside, that will help. Stay active. It releases endorphins.

No you wouldn't ,and your just pissed because I tell it like it is. If this person wanted help, and has either a phone with internet, or a computer, then they can google up whatever they want for real help. It really is that simple. Topix will not fix anyone , heck it won't even make you feel any bigger . Even off topixs I have never been in fear of a fat girl with a flip flop in her hand. Go waste your time talking to those who want to play internet phsycotherapy god.

OK, so your 22 and can't seem to make it in the real world huh? Did mommy and daddy tell you ,you were special so much you believed it? In the real world its tough. Sorry but it is. You have to work hard, learn quickly, find a spark in your life and drive towards a goal. Its never easy, you will feel lonely alot, even in a crowded room. You will not get to go shopping all the time with others money. Nobody will come save you. Superman is a comic book hero. If you want a better life, go after it, quit crying and put on your big girl panties and take it. You can do it if you want to do it. If not, then go get an obama check and some tenncare pills and enjoy your decent into a worse nightmare of life. Nobody will fault you for chasing a dream and falling a little short from time to time, but they will condem you if you just cry and never try. See I can be somewhat nice.
